I'm not really a newbie but hey....
So I've been a QPR fan since I was 6 and it's all to do with Paul Parker. I was given a pannini sticker album and being one of eight children plus the old folks I kind of wanted to support my own team rather than the teams they supported. That years addition had the date of birth's under the players name and as Paul Parker was also born on April 4th (some 18 years before me I must add) and well being six I made a mature decision that I would support the hoops. I remember having to remind people that he set up Lineker's goal in the WC Semi-Final because everyone loved to tell me that he was to blame for their goal - jumping out of the wall like he did. Yes, he probably was but if it hadn't been for his excellent cross onto Lineker's thigh we wouldn't have scored either. 2 years later I remember having to convince people that it wasn't really Sinton's fault against Sweden at Euro 92. Of course it was Graham Taylor's!!!
Anyway, it all started because of Paul Parker and well the rest is history.

Female fan from Norway. I started to support QPR when we had players like Paul Goddard and Clive Allen in our team. In a way, (as strange as it may sound, I fancied Manchester United´s forward line; Gordon Hill, Stewart Houston, Jimmy Greenhoff and Steve Coppel. A stunning forward line, indeed. Hill especially, was a fantastic winger but did his knee when he played for Derby(?). So when he came to us in the last part of the seventies he was past it. But, still (Gordon, I will never forget you(Buhu)) I had found myself a proper football club to support. And With the aforementioned Allen,Goddard,Currie and Mcdonald as keyplayers in the team, we eventually did get promoted, and like you all know the rest is history.

Having lived in Toodyay for a couple of years (in the noughties) I know what it is like being an R in WA. I think that now makes it 3 or 4 WA based R's, you are not alone mate. H

Although I have been on this site for a few months now, I haven't introduced myself. Before I start I want to say a big thanks to those responsible for QPR report. It is friendly and informative and I feel able to express my views about my favourite team without the fear of abuse.
My name is Arnie and I live at the moment in Northolt, Middx. I have supported QPR since about 1968 when I lived in W12 and attended Christopher Wren School. How could I support any other team when I could hear the roar of the crowd every other Saturday and I walked past South Africa road on my way to school.
My favourite QPR team was the 1975/76 team managed by Dave Sexton and captained by Gerry Francis, which was runners- up in the old 1st Division to Liverpool.
Favourite QPR player ever, Stanley Bowles (sorry Les....more later).
Favourite current player Adel Taraabt........something always happens when he's got the ball.
Best match: QPR 3 Stoke City 2 in the 75/76 season or maybe Worst match: QPR 0 Sc**thope 4, 2 seasons ago, because I travelled to Sc**thorpe with my son-in-law, a Yorkshireman and Leeds supporter and can't live down the humiliation
I chose the posting name of Grenqpr because when I joined this site I was on the Island of Grenada in the caribbean and I came upon it whilst looking for information on QPR.
Claim to fame: I was responsible for 'introducing' Les Ferdinand to QPR. He was aged about 11 or 12 at the time I took him and his cousin Tony to the Loft to watch his first professional football match. I don't recall the opposing team but I remember Les was very impressed with Gary Waddock. Sadly, I lost touch with Les following the death of his mother.

Hi I'm from... Well anyway, been supporting the Rs since the year we won the League Cup. If that makes me a gloryhunter, blame my generous former neighbours and the freebie to the Colchester game (or was it Sc**thorpe?!). A couple of mates recommended this site as the place for considered opinion. We'll see. Now where's that JonDoeman?? Bump
