Had the misfortune to watch the Barnsley v WBA fogbound game. Then the second half of Boro v Bournemouth. WBA were poor - but like in most games, could have won it, or lost it in the closing stages. Bournemouth were apparently better in the first half but were poor when I was viewing. Having said that Lumley stuck out a leg and made a very good save in the closing stages - then Boro had a goal correctly disallowed for offside. Wilder has got a poor Middlesboro side in contention for the play-offs now. So in summary, we are forgiven for thinking we mess up games we would expect to win etc. They all do. This Championship is a long season full of inconsistencies and dross. Both games were decent results for us when not playing though.

Yeah it’s a tough league. I said the Wheel might come off the Bournemouth bus a month or so ago and pleased to say it did. The fixtures when I looked at them in October looked very tough leading up to our fixture with them. 3 points from the last 6 matches, 22nd in the form table over last 6 matches and a game at Loftus Road next, if it’s on. Still think it might be cancelled by then. But it’s opened the door right up for WBA , BLACKBURN, QPR and others.

I do not like the idea of taking on Bournemouth with little or no preparation time and still worrying comments about our injuries. It would be the perfect time for Bournemouth to end their bad run against us in what is already a 6 pointer in play-off terms. I really want to know what Dykes has done to his ankle/foot. Warburton comments seem to imply he is still a long way off a return. Really important that we pick up points in our games in hand as the gap to the chasing pack has closed up again. Blackburn are a bit of a surprise but having a striker who can hit 20 goals before Christmas is always going to help - oh for Charlie of 5 years ago! But as everyone knows the Championship is totally unpredictable. We just need to hang in there for now and it will all come down to which teams have good or bad runs in the last ten games or so. Fasten seat belts and enjoy the ride!

Fulham now 5 games without a win. The top two places looking miles away from third place and below all of a sudden nothing in it now. Sheff Utd look a different team with new Manager

Tide has turned for Fulham. 3-0 in the 1st half v Brum. 16 goals in 2 1/2 games!
Going on the last 5 games, Blackburn, Middlesborough and Derby are the the form teams with 4 wins and a draw.

Yeah Fulham had a stutter and came back, Bournemouth had a stutter and it went on. Last 10 games our form is still above Everyone bar Blackburn. Blackburn 26 pts QPR 22 BORO 21 Fulham 19 14 position Bournemouth 12 WBA 11 Made big ground on WBA and Bournemouth over last 10 matches , that was even losing to Bournemouth too.

We have three of those games in April , Hudds away, Stoke away , Sheff Utd home , also Fulham home, tough month that one , could determine if we make play offs Surely Sheff U v QPR should have been rearranged by now?

From what I've read, Sky is an issue with the Sheff Utd game because they want to show it.

What do Sky care if we end up playing 4 games in 8 days or similar as long as they can get what they want.

Fulham went to both extremes in half a dozen games. This is why the Championship is better than the Premier League.

That gives us an even tougher run of games in April - but also the chance to power ahead if we get the right results. Anyway not to get ahead of ourselves - anything could and will happen between now and then. Coventry on Saturday.

Date delayed due to Sky's insistence apparently, and yet no mention of it now being on TV. Being a Tuesday night, it may well be on the red button anyway, although as a weekend game originally, who really knows anymore? At least the Barnsley game is back to 3pm. Saturday at 8pm was crazy thinking, especially with us having a game on the following Tuesday.

Just watched the East Midlands derby - what a final 20 minutes. Forest scored their second and appeared to be coasting. Then Cook (who we wanted at QPR) gave away a really daft penalty. Lawrence (who it seems we want at QPR) converted having missed an earlier great chance. Samba in the Forest goal, complete with Barbet head bandages tried to prevent the ball being quickly retrieved and yet another scuffle. Lawrence and Samba yellow carded, Samba could well have seen red, if only for his continued arguing. Then pantomime dame, Styles, today's 4th official, controversially held up 6 minutes of extra time......you can't keep him out of the headlines. Ravel Morrison ( Who once played for QPR) then received a straight injury time red for a dreadful foot up tackle - cue another scuffle with Samba clashing with Morrison - even though the offence was at the half way line. Forest then shithoused the extra time away by not retrieving the ball and buying time wasting fouls. Final whistle and Morrison is back on trying to get at Samba again - both players restrained by team mates with a final scuffle for good measure. Forest won, and I rather wished they hadn't.

Still in January and looking at the table (and the form of teams at the bottom) I think it safe to say we are free from relegation fears. Not being sarcastic or stating the obvious but when was the last time we could say that - probably the last time we won promotion. How times change. In a similar train of thought I hope Rangersman is OK - must be under sedation at the moment.

In a similar train of thought I hope Rangersman is OK - must be under sedation at the moment. Interesting point as to why people bother (or don't bother) to post on this message board. I often read football stories - often non QPR and think that it may be worth sharing with others who may not have picked up on the tale. Or, I throw my opinion out there to see who agrees or disagrees. I also enjoy the stats of it all N.B. I nearly posted yesterday that we were safe from relegation before the end of January as well! But I guess for many, the only time to contribute is to vent their frustrations after a defeat. The board seems busier when we lose than when we win, so I guess that to vent is better than kicking the cat! Warburton has done remarkably well for QPR, so I guess that if we are winning, Rangersman (and others) do not need to even visit the board. Lose, as no doubt we will soon, and no doubt the knives will be out once again. There is a lot to be said for balance though.

Blackburn scraped a home win - interesting that some reports say Boro wreathe better team although their manager said they did not deserve to get anything from the game.
Not displeased with that result. We can still overtake Blackburn by winning our games in hand and it keeps Boro a bit further behind us in the play-off race. Unfortunate thing is that with the postponed games and the upcoming effect of teams staying in the FA Cup the table does not give a clear picture at the moment and probably will not until mid April - especially when things like our re-arranged game v's Sky....sorry Sheff. Utd are put back so far.

Hull finally get their new owners and their first task was to sack the manager who had kept them going. McCann had done a decent job. I had never heard of his replacement. When will owners ever learn?

Madness - promoted as Champions last season, poor start turned around and in his last 2 games beat Blackburn and Bournemouth (thanks)and then gets the sack. Hull fans were celebrating when the take over was announced - could be case of out of the frying pan into the fire! Next they will want to change the clubs name - "Hull Delight" sounds ok to the Turkish owners and then play in pink and white halved shirts
My list of clubs I want to be relegated is growing - and not because of the players or fans (except Millwall)
