Stop me if you have heard this before:
Reading the opinions of the LA Galaxy blog/message board, re Niko.
"Impressive going forward, but can be a liability on defence".
Hope springs eternal that Warbs will fix that with time.

Niko's game has been steadily improving by report. You never know, look at all the players that have raised their game for the Rs in the last year or 2. Him and Bonne may be needed and useful in January. It seems as if Kelman and Mide may have plateaued and even regressed, hope not.

7th December 2021 www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/loan-rangers-071221/Loan Rangers: Armstrong clinches it for the GullsSimon Cheshire @simoncheshire10 SEVEN of our lads were in action for their respective sides throughout last week and it was young striker Sinclair Armstrong who caught the headlines. A match-winning strike in Torquay United’s 2-1 away victory for the Ireland U19 international was enough to move Gary Johnson’s side up to 16th in the league table. This was Armstrong’s second strike for the Gulls following his switch to Plainmoor in October. Elsewhere, it was cup action for a handful of our Loan Rangers, with both the FA Cup and Papa John’s Trophy kicking into gear. Ipswich Town were held to a goalless draw with Barrow, with Macauley Bonne playing the full 90 minutes, ensuring for a second-round FA Cup replay. A trip to Barnsley awaits the winners. Cambridge United beat Exeter 2-1, with Conor Masterson coming off the bench in the 80th minute, replacing Harrison Dunk, to help see out the victory. It's Premier League Newcastle United up next for the U’s in round three. Sheffield Wednesday weren’t in FA Cup action but did take to the field on Wednesday evening, eventually losing 3-0 to Hartlepool in the Papa John’s Trophy with Mide Shodipo playing the opening 45 minutes before being replaced by Barry Bannan. Elsewhere on Wednesday, Oldham Athletic were victorious over Sunderland in the EFL Trophy, but Faysal Bettache didn't feature. Amrit Bansal-McNulty and Crawley Town weren’t in action, with a clash with Walsall awaiting them tonight (Tuesday). Lower down the leagues, Eastbourne Borough clinched a 2-0 victory at Welling United, with Trent Mahorn - who will now stay at Priory Lane until January - playing the full 90 minutes. Aldershot Town drew 2-2 with Altrincham, with defender Joe Gubbins again playing the full 90 minutes for the Shots. Franklin Domi played full 90 in Concord Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Braintree Town. Goalkeeper Murphy Mahoney didn’t feature for Stratford Town in their 2-1 home defeat to Lowestoft Town. Looking ahead, Ipswich travel to Wigan Athletic on Saturday, while Sheffield Wednesday visit Crewe Alexandra and Cambridge United travel to Charlton Athletic. In League Two, Crawley head to Walsall this evening as mentioned and then face a trip to Leyton Orient at the weekend, while Oldham host Forest Green Rovers. The striker will stay at the Priestfield Stadium until the end of the 2021/22 campaign. From earlier on this week www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/loan-rangers-de-wijs-gets-going-080222/8th February 2022 Loan Rangers: de Wijs gets goingSimon Cheshire @simoncheshire10 FOLLOWING the conclusion of the January transfer window, QPR were active in the loan market with the temporary arrivals of Dion Sanderson and Jeff Hendrick from Premier League sides Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United respectively. However, this window also saw the short-term departures of Jordy de Wijs, Connor Masterson, Charlie Kelman and Amrit Bansal-McNulty, who joined five of the Loan Rangers who are already spending time away from west London. Dutch defender de Wijs - still returning from injury - played 74 minutes for Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Dusseldorf in their 1-0 away defeat to Holstein Kiel on Sunday, which saw Jonas Sterner grabbing a 90th-minute winner for the hosts. Closer to home, Masterson and Kelman featured in Gillingham’s clashes against Crewe Alexandra and Ipswich Town respectively last week, as new boss Neil Harris looks to galvanise the Gills. Masterson played the full 90 minutes in both games, while Kelman bagged 68 minutes in the victory over Crewe before playing the final 22 minutes in their defeat to Ipswich. In the same game, Macauley Bonne played the final 12 minutes for the Tractor Boys as they looked to hang on to a slim 1-0 victory. Elsewhere in League One, winger Mide Shodipo has been missing from Sheffield Wednesday’s squad since December with a hamstring injury. In League Two, midfielder Bansal-McNulty - who moved back to Crawley Town on deadline day - didn’t feature in their 2-2 draw with Stevenage. In the National League, Stephen Duke-McKenna played 89 minutes in Torquay United’s 1-0 victory over Wrexham. Trent Mahorn played the whole game as Eastbourne Borough fought out a goalless draw at Braintree Town.
