Would snatch their hands off but can't see it happening. Agreed I would take the offer but sounds like the kind story put out by his agent. I like him but he could be replaced more cheaply.

From Sports Witness. Much ado about nothing?! sportwitness.co.uk/qpr-double-scouting-mission-weekend-looking-something-specific-league/QPR in double scouting mission this weekend, looking for something in specific leagueBy Lucas Sposito - 18th March 2019 It looks like Queens Park Rangers officials were really focused on finding talents from the Portuguese league this weekend. Although the Loftus Road side are not often seen on Portuguese scouting lists, they’ve been mentioned twice for the last round in Liga NOS. First, club emissaries watched Porto’s game against MarÃtimo. And now, there were representatives at Moreirense’s match against Benfica. Newspapers A Bola and O Jogo both report QPR’s presence at the match, although neither of them knows who the London side were watching. Just like expected, it was an easy win for Benfica, who managed to get a great 4-0 victory away from home and continue to seek the league title. The result makes it obvious that there wasn’t much to see from Moreirense for QPR. From the away side, there were great displays from left-back Alex Grimaldo, midfielder Andreas Samaris and winger Rafa Silva, who was man of the match. Scouts from Eintracht Frankfurt, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, SPAL, Anderlecht, Saint Etienne, Toulouse, Montpellier, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Utrecht attended the match as well.

Might do well there, a decent league 1 striker. Just checked his stats, 4 appearances, no goals for Sheffield Utd.

Wasn't good enough for us but never shirked, may be a fresh start for him.

That’s one thing I would 100 % say about Washington I never once thought he didn’t try his best and put in a shift. he just couldn’t get that goal ratio a Striker should be getting. I thought he was a decent guy, only spoke to him a couple of times outside the ground but seemed nice. Think League One could be the answer for him.

I remember his first game. Took the ball down on his instep, put in a lovely cross and we scored (I cant remember who scored though) but I do remember texting a couple of mates saying this bloke has got some skill.
He came to us on the back of a brilliant season with Peterborough and had a lot of pressure on his shoulders, never stopped running but as others have said he just couldn't find the net.

Definitely, agree with you both. Can't remember many players I've wanted to come good quite so much, particularly as he got some horrendous stick around me at the ground.
He had some mitigation - sometimes being dumped up front alone when he's never been able to play well there, and I felt like he could do it if just given a proper run in the position he was best at. Particularly cos of our money situation, we weren't really in the place where we could just throw players away.
But yeah, he did get his chances in the end but he didn't perform, his confidence visibly dipped and he just wasn't going to cut it. League One best place for him - I've never spoken to him but he seemed an alright guy and hope it works out for him.
In terms of where we are at and the season ahead, it's a lesson in hope and expectation. When we can no longer afford proven players, some of these lads will work out and some won't - the risk factor is always going to be there no matter how well you scout. Sometimes you get a Luongo and a Freeman, sometimes you'll get a Gladwin or a Washington.

....and so the speculation on new players begins. From HITC www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/05/14/reading-qpr-and-millwall-eye-josh-morris-on-free/Reading, QPR and Millwall eye Josh Morris on freePete O'Rourke @sportspeteo 3 hours ago HITC Sport understands a number of Championship and League One clubs are targeting Sc**thorpe winger Josh Morris on a free transfer this summer. Reading, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall are among a host of clubs lining up moves for Sc**thorpe United midfielder Josh Morris on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club. Morris is set to become a free agent next month after rejecting several offers to extend his contract at Sc**thorpe. The 27-year-old's availability on a free transfer has alerted a number of Championship and League One clubs as they look to bolster their attacking options. Morris was one of Sc**thorpe's shining lights in a disappointing season which resulted in relegation, scoring five goals and providing six assists in just 19 League One outings. The former Blackburn Rovers youngster saw his season held up by a couple of injury lay-offs and his absence was sorely missed as Sc**thorpe failed to secure League One survival. Reading, QPR and Millwall have all been keeping tabs on Morris' situation at Sc**thopre and they are ready to battle a host of League One clubs for his signature this summer. Morris is expected to weigh up all offers that come his way before deciding where to continue his career next season

Sounds a typical QPR signing to me, lots of promise can be improved, get the value up and sell on. Just worried about the injury comments.

From HITC www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/05/17/gavin-massey-ends-nottingham-forest-and-qpr-hopes-of-bargain-dea/Gavin Massey ends Nottingham Forest and QPR hopes of bargain dealDanny Owen @danny8195 1 day ago Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers were both reportedly interested in signing Wigan Athletic forward Gavin Massey. Gavin Massey of Wigan Athletic scores a goal to make it 0-2 during the Sky Bet Championship match between Stoke City and Wigan Athletic at Bet365 Stadium on August 22, 2018 in Stoke on... The transfer window only opened officially on Thursday but it seems that Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers have already missed out on a bargain signing. The Mail reported in March that the Championship duo were going head to head to sign Wigan Athletic forward Gavin Massey with his contract due to expire at the end of the season. The 26-year-old joined The Latics from Leyton Orient in 2017 and, after helping Paul Cook’s side cruise to the League One title last year, starred as Wigan narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship. Massey scored five times in 20 Championship games with two of those coming in a match-winning brace away at Leeds United in April. But despite the chance to play for Forest or QPR, the Watford-born speed machine has decided to commit his future to Wigan instead. Speaking on Twitter, Massey has confirmed that he has signed a new two-year deal with the 2013 FA Cup winners – and, in his own words, he couldn’t be happier.

From Football Insider www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-qpr-barnsley-battle-sheffield-wednesday-to-sign-27-year-old/Exclusive: QPR & Barnsley line up moves to sign 27-yr-old wanted by Sheffield Wednesday Exclusive: QPR & Barnsley line up moves to sign 27-yr-old wanted by Sheffield WednesdayDate: 18th May 2019 at 12:00pm EXCLUSIVE By Pete O’Rourke QPR and Barnsley have joined Sheffield Wednesday in the race to sign Sunderland defender Adam Matthews on a free transfer this summer, Football Insider understands. Football Insider revealed earlier this week that Wednesday have set their sights on landing the right-back when his contract expires at the League One club next month. A source close to the player has told Football Insider that Championship outfit QPR and newly-promoted Barnsley are also lining up moves for ex-Celtic star Matthews. The trio are ready to table contract offers to the 27-year-old, who has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Sunderland this season and been instrumental in them reaching the League One play-off final. Matthews has spent the last four years at the Stadium of Light and has 14 full Wales caps as well as represented Celtic in the Champions League. Sunderland’s only chance of keeping hold of Matthews, who is eager to be back in the Championship next season, is by winning the League One play-off final against Charlton on Sunday week. The full-back made 150 appearances for Celtic before joining the Black Cats and has also represented hometown club Cardiff City and Bristol City.

From football insider. It looks like we may well lose Dieng. www.footballinsider247.com/ibrox-exclusive-rangers-to-offer-24-year-old-deal-after-he-snubs-london-club-contract/Ibrox Exclusive: Rangers to table 24-yr-old offer after he snubs extension from London clubDate: 25th May 2019 at 7:00am Written by: Football Insider Rangers are ready to offer a contract to goalkeeper Seny Dieng after he snubbed a new Queens Park Rangers deal, Football Insider understands. The Light Blues have set their sights on the possibility of landing Dieng on a summer free after his impressive spell on loan at SPL club Dundee in the second half of this season. Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that QPR are keen to keep Dieng, 24, and have offered him a contract extension but he has yet to agree it and this has alerted suitors north and south of the border. Rangers face competition for the keeper’s signature from League One side Shrewsbury Town, Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, French outfit Strasbourg and American team Minnesota United. Rangers are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with number two Wes Foderingham expected to leave after losing the number one shirt to Allan McGregor, and Jak Alnwick likely to sign permanently for an English lower league side. Senegalese Dieng joined QPR in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer but has yet to make his senior debut for the Championship club. The 6ft 4in shot-stopper has made 34 appearances this season across his loan spells at Dundee and English League Two side Stevenage.

That's interesting. I didn't see the need to replace Lumley but his kicking does neet improvement. Unless Lumley has decided its time to move on?....probably just paper talk though.

Could be good business - if he replaces Ingram whose wages might be dearer and who might generate a small transfer fee...

DaSilva would be great addition but surprised if able to get him .. we aren’t offering silly wages but wouldn’t need relocating, almost guaranteed starter but knows Bristol city from last season. The right sort we should be after
