....and from the Offie. After today's performance we need to get him playing ASAP! QPR SIGN SEAN GOSSPUBLISHED 14:45 28th January 2017 by @qprfc R’s clinch signature of Manchester United midfielder … QPR confirm signing of Sean Goss Midfielder joins from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee Goss pens three-and-a-half year deal at Loftus Road QPR have completed the signing of midfielder Sean Goss from Manchester United. Goss joins on a three-and-a-half year deal, after Rangers agreed an undisclosed fee with the Premier League club for his services. A naturally gifted left-footed midfielder, Goss - who has impressed at Reserve team level for United - leaves Old Trafford having been on the brink of the First Team over the last 18 months. Now a new chapter in his career awaits at Loftus Road and R’s boss Ian Holloway is excited about the prospect of working with the German-born midfielder. Holloway told http://www.qpr.co.uk: “I’m delighted we’ve managed to bring Sean to QPR. “He’s a young player with great potential - and I feel there are players at Manchester United who can get a little bit lost, because they’ve always got the best of the best of the best. “I’ve managed to borrow one or two from United over the years, but sometimes you spot one and you want him – and that’s exactly why I’ve bought Gossy here. “I want to put my stamp and my name and the wonderful name of QPR on him - because I firmly believe he’s got a fantastic future ahead of him.” Holloway added: “He’s a ball playing midfielder – and what I want long-term is players in midfield with a range of passing, who can offer us something a bit different. “That’s Gossy – that’s what he’s all about. He has a different range of passing to the other midfielders we’ve got in the squad. “He’s got great versatility too - and I firmly believe he will develop into a top player with QPR, working alongside the other players we’ve got here.” Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Goss revealed his delight at putting pen to paper at Loftus Road, commenting: “I’m delighted that the deal is done - absolutely buzzing. “I’m at the point now in my career where I need to be playing First Team football, week in, week out – so the opportunity to move to QPR was just something I had to pursue. “Ian (Holloway) and Les (Ferdinand) had a massive influence on me. They told me everything I wanted to hear. “The way they both spoke about QPR, showing such passion for the football club, was really special. “Now it’s up to me to repay them both and everyone else at QPR for showing their faith in me.” Goss has been handed the number 10 shirt by Holloway and the opportunity to wear such an iconic number is one he’s relishing. “I know the pressure that comes with the number 10 shirt and that’s something I will relish,” he said. “I’ve got great confidence in my own ability. You’ve got to believe in yourself as a footballer otherwise you won’t achieve what you set out to achieve. “This is a really exciting move for me and I can’t wait to get going for QPR.” Goss will be in attendance for today’s fixture against Burton Albion at Loftus Road, and could be in line to make his QPR debut against Newcastle United on Wednesday evening. ....and from westlondonsport saying it's a £500,000 deal www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-finalise-500000-signing-goss-man-utdQPR finalise £500,000 signing of Goss from Man UtdBy West London Sport 28/01/2017 QPR have confirmed the signing of midfielder Sean Goss from Manchester United. Goss has moved for an initial fee of £500,000 and has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at Loftus Road, West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers were targeting the 21-year-old and subsequently revealed that an offer had been accepted by United. Goss, who can also play at left-back, underwent a medical on Friday and his move was rubber-stamped before Rangers’ home match against Burton this afternoon. He joined United from Exeter City in 2012 and is keen to play first-team football, having not yet made his senior debut. Goss spent much of last season sidelined with a back injury.

From footballleagueworld footballleagueworld.co.uk/fulham-and-queens-park-rangers-locked-in-battle-for-championship-forward/FULHAM AND QUEENS PARK RANGERS LOCKED IN BATTLE FOR CHAMPIONSHIP FORWARDDate: 28th January 2017 at 12:54pm Written by: Elliott Wheat-Bowen Sky Bet Championship duo Fulham and Queens Park Rangers are chasing Preston North End’s versatile forward Callum Robinson, according to the Daily Mail Live Transfer Blog (11:30am GMT). The 21-year-old forward has been one of the standout performers for Preston North End this season with six goals and three assists in the Championship so far. The versatile forward can play across the front line, as a winger on either flank or as an unorthodox centre forward, which makes Robinson a valuable asset to have. The former Aston Villa forward has previously attracted attention from fellow Championship sides Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City. Ian Holloway’s rejuvenated Queens Park Rangers side are looking at Callum Robinson as a forward with Championship experience – Robinson would help further bolster Queens Park Rangers current attacking options. Whereas Fulham are looking at Callum Robinson as a signing who could potentially help Fulham break into the play-off places with additional goals and assists. At the moment, the interest remains in its earliest stages. However, it is expected that QPR will commence the bidding with a £1.5 million offer to test Preston’s resolve.

From the Daily Star why Man U were willing to let Goss go. The question is, will he get the regular First Team action that he craves at QPR! www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/583027/Nicky-Butt-Sean-Goss-Man-United-transfer-newsMan United coach gives inside information on January transfer dealMANCHESTER UNITED under 23 chief Nicky Butt claims Sean Goss' switch to QPR is a great move for the playmaker.By Alex Wood / Published 28th January 2017 Sean Goss has joined QPR from Man United The 21-year-old opted to join the Championship outfit having been at the Premier League heavyweights since 2012. However, despite being highly rated, Goss' first-team chances looked severely limited at Old Trafford. "He did a great job at the club but it got to the point where he spoke to me on several occasions and obviously he felt it was time for him to go," Butt told Manchester United's offical website. "He's going to a big club in QPR and it's a great move for him. "It's an opportunity he felt he had to take with both hands. "He has got a lot of talent, an abundance of talent, and a wand of a left foot. "He just needs to get playing men's football regularly now and get on a roll because when you do that, all of a sudden, it starts coming easily to you." Goss has penned a three-and-a-half-year contract with QPR. On joining the west Londoners, Goss said: "I'm delighted that the deal is done - absolutely buzzing. "I'm at the point now in my career where I need to be playing first-team football, week in, week out – so the opportunity to move to QPR was just something I had to pursue."

The westlondonsport article on Freeman in detail. It's a bit late in the day to say you want out with only a few days remaining in the transfer window, but then maybe he has been telling them but nobody at City was listening! www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/freeman-set-move-telling-bristol-city-wantsFreeman set for move after telling Bristol City he wants outBy West London Sport 28/01/2017 Lee Johnson has admitted that QPR target Luke Freeman has told Bristol City he wants to leave. Speaking after his side’s FA Cup defeat at Burnley, City boss Johnson revealed that winger Freeman refused to play at Turf Moor. The Robins have rejected an offer from Rangers for the 24-year-old, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season. City have insisted they do not want to sell. But with Freeman adamant he will not sign a contract and wants to move, Johnson has suggested that the player will leave ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline. “We wanted him to come along and be involved today but he made it clear he didn’t want to be,” Johnson told City’s website. “He didn’t feel he was mentally right to play and that tells a story in itself. It’s disappointing because you want your best players to be available. “He’s made it clear he wants to move on and that one is still pending so we’ll have to see what happens between now and Tuesday.”

Manchester United Official Site 8/01/2017 14:43, Report by Adam Marshall, Adam Bostock Goss joins Queens Park Rangers from United Sean Goss has completed his permanent move from Manchester United to Championship club Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old was signed by United from Exeter City in 2012 and made the first-team bench at Watford in November 2015, following a spot on the club's pre-season tour. This season, the elegant midfielder made a fine return from injury and was one of the star performers for the United Reserves team under the interim management of Nicky Butt. Goss had a penalty saved by Liverpool goalkeeper Shamal George at Anfield earlier this month, preventing him from scoring for the third consecutive game, but he later set up Matty Willock's injury-time winner with an inviting free-kick. Butt told ManUtd.com: "He did a great job at the club but it got to the point where he spoke to me on several occasions and obviously he felt it was time for him to go. He's going to a big club in QPR and it's a great move for him. It's an opportunity he felt he had to take with both hands. "He has got a lot of talent, an abundance of talent, and a wand of a left foot. He just needs to get playing men's football regularly now and get on a roll because when you do that, all of a sudden, it starts coming easily to you." Goss has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with QPR. He told their official website on Saturday: "I'm delighted that the deal is done - absolutely buzzing. I'm at the point now in my career where I need to be playing first-team football, week in, week out – so the opportunity to move to QPR was just something I had to pursue." Ian Holloway is back in charge at Loftus Road, and the Londoners have beaten off competition from other teams to land Goss on a permanent basis. The manager told his club's website: "I'm delighted we've managed to bring Sean to QPR. I've borrowed one or two from United over the years, but sometimes you spot one and you want him – and that's exactly why I've brought Gossy here. "He's a ball-playing midfielder - and what I want long-term is players in midfield with a range of passing, who can offer us something a bit different. That’s Gossy – that’s what he’s all about." Everybody at Manchester United would like to wish Sean well at his new club. www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2017/Jan/sean-goss-signs-for-queens-park-rangers-from-manchester-united-for-undisclosed-fee.aspx

Borysuik will probably go permanent in the summer. Gladwin maybe brought. back into our squad or sold. Looks like Ollie will stick with Washington? Be surprised if any more than these, if others go it would be ones Les has only just got in for previous Managers.

Well we'll see what happens in the summer (including whether Holloway is kept on) and in the remaining days till the Window "Slams Shut" to repeat the cliche
But surely one of the Director of Football rationales is that a change of managers doesnt result in large player turnover
Obviously I distinguish between regular in and out and players we've been trying to get rid of; and "too-good-an-offer" to trun down

Blackburn and Wigan are just waiting in the wings to get out the bottom and Bristol C, Burton, Forest, QPR and Cardiff better beware.

Cash and Carry Transfers! www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/revealed-cherys-move-china-delayedTjaronn Chery’s move to China only went through after QPR received payment for the Dutch midfielder. Chery’s transfer to Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng was rubber-stamped earlier this week – almost a month after the Chinese Super League club were given the green light to sign him. The reason for the delay was that Rangers were concerned by recent administrative issues involving transfers to China and, more importantly, reports that some payments for big-money deals had not been made. QPR therefore refused to process the final documents needed for Chery’s move to go through until the payment had been received Queens Park Rangers actually taking the correct action! Long may this continue!

From getwestlondon. El-Khayati on the move?
Transfer update QPR set to loan winger to Newcastle conquerors
Rangers ready to send out former Burton winger bought in January window 2015
BYPAUL WARBURTON 13:03, 29 JAN 2017
Nasser El-Khayati is set to be loaned to Oxford United for the rest of the season.
The side that dumped Newcastle out of the FA Cup 3-0 will get the services of a player starved of games at QPR.
Yesterday's conquerors, Burton, sold him to Hoops for £350,000 a year ago, but the Dutchman only has nine appearances under his belt this term frozen out of the team by the likes of Pawel Wszolek and Mide Shodipo.
Coventry were also understood to be interested in a player who was plucked from non-league Dutch obscurity by former Rs boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Current incumbent Ian Holloway made plain he wants to clear the decks and bring in fresh faces to consolidate Championship safety.
However, El-Khayati's one strike for Rangers was this one. Want a second look?

Showing maybe that this wasnt JFH finest signing of the century. Would not be at all surprised if he was sold permanently in the summer. Falls into the not the required standard for this division sadly.
Ollie certainly putting in his stamp on things and if the players are not happy or not good enough he doesnt want them part of the set up. Makes sense.

Dont know that much about Smith but going by comments various boards hardly gets anyone excited, most wanting Poulter back. Lets hope we have enough fire power to stay up in this Division.
Which makes Ollies team selection Saturday even more bizarre considering the two players he left out had two goals and an assist between them in the last two matches. I'm no expert but to me a very Bad Bad move. Never change a winning unbeaten run formula, specially for a game we wanted and needed three points from.
