On Ned... What, 15 games before he'll have to drop back down to the Championship...?? He was there before and played well for them. Sunderland have made a habit of last minute escapes from relegation so I wouldn't put it past them to do it again. Its so tight down the bottom of the Prem at the moment, no ones been cut adrift yet. So, why wouldn't he go there genuinely believing he could help keep them up? Yes, it is tight, but past Sunderland teams have seemed more up for the fight (in terms of players, manager and support from owners) - and better equipped. In my view, it's very different this time round. If Moyes can convince him there's a fighting chance they can stay up, then maybe he'll go. Certainly the flak he's taken for some time by quite a few QPR fans (seems to be a sadly growing trend) won't make him miss us too much... For him to persuade his family swap the delights of west London for the drear of Sunderland, he'd have to be on a significantly better whack than he is with us - or is that too cynical...?

From the BBC. Routledge going nowhere www.bbc.com/sport/football/38757918Swansea City winger Wayne Routledge signs new deal to stay at Liberty until 20194 hours ago From the section Football Wayne Routledge also had a spell on loan at Cardiff City Wayne Routledge has signed a new contract at Swansea City until 2019. The winger, 32, could earn a further year depending on the number of appearances he makes for the Swans. Routledge has scored 20 goals in 204 games since joining Swansea in 2011 and says it was easy to agree a new contract. "There was recent interest from other clubs, but for me there wasn't really a decision to be made about my future here," Routledge said. "The club wanted me to stay here and I wanted to commit myself further. It was a no-brainer. "For someone who has been at a lot of clubs and has moved around a lot, it's a nice feeling to have finally settled." Swansea are Routledge's ninth club and he says he has no intention of finding a 10th, despite being linked with a switch to Birmingham City. "I've been here since our first season in the Premier League and I'm personally very proud of what we have achieved so far. It's panned out so well," he said. "My daughter was born here, my family is set up here - we love it here. "To have settled here, start a family and be happy in Swansea - that takes the weight off my mind when I'm on and off the pitch. "The new contract could take me to nearly 10 years at this club. It's been a really enjoyable time of my career and life, but hopefully there are more good times ahead."

Sure I read Villa one of couple of clubs that could be linked with future FFP.? Signed another two more players today. If they dont go up this season must be in a spot of trouble?

Kind of scared and excited at the same time... On balance, if Ollie thinks he can manage him, I think he'd add some much-needed creativity. I suspect there might be a stumbling block on our new wage structure though...

Sure I read Villa one of couple of clubs that could be linked with future FFP.? Signed another two more players today. If they dont go up this season must be in a spot of trouble? I doubt they will be in trouble after one season. The rules have changed quite a bit since we fell foul of them, with grace periods after relegation, assessment on a 3 year rolling basis and other things. I have given up trying to follow the rules as they are inconsistent in definition and application, so I could be wrong.
I would not wish FFP restrictions on any club (except Chelsea and Manure ) so good luck to them.
There was a big article I read a few weeks ago that mentioned Villa and Brighton in it. This sounded interesting? They cant keep spending big or something will give. Although, we are still going around in circles re our own possible fine? Newly relegated, Villa will be captured under the new FFP rules and will be required to submit their accounts for the previous three seasons to the Football League. The last accounts that we have for Villa (2014/15) were dreadful. There is every reason to expect the 2015/16 accounts to be similarly awful. However, the decent results in 2013/14 and the high permitted loss for PL teams, suggests that Villa will probably be OK for the test which will be carried out in March/April 2017. It is worth pointing out that it will probably be a close call (and perhaps this is one of the reasons that Remi Garde was not allowed to go into the transfer market last season). The real test for Villa will come next season. Clubs with high wage bills often struggle to manage wages down in their first year after relegation – there is therefore every chance that Villa will face a punishment when the test is carried out next season. N.B. it is worth pointing out that clubs promoted to the Premier League are tested under these harmonised rules; so irrespective of whether Villa is in the Championship or Premier League next season they would still face punishments under next season’s FFP test

Like I said about this one last week when the Manager said he was worth 5 million. He will walk away from them for free in the Summer so they need to cash in. (probably be in league one) An offer of 2-3 Million will swing it if we really wanted him.

I suspect there might be a stumbling block on our new wage structure though... Ollie won't have Henry because of attitude and publicly criticises Sylla for a bad attitude for not being happy being substituted but is considering taking on Ravel Morrison. This will only end in tears if it goes ahead IMO

From westlondonsport a summary www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/qpr-fulham-preston-north-end-callum-robinson-linkedTransfer gossip: Mail claim QPR and Fulham want RobinsonBy West London Sport 27/01/2017 Some of the recent transfer speculation ahead of Tuesday’s deadline. QPR and Fulham both want Preston striker Callum Robinson, the Mail reckon. It is claimed that Rangers boss Ian Holloway wants to bid £1.5m for the 21-year-old. Fulham also supposedly want Robinson, who has scored seven goals this season. Bristol Post tout Henry for City moveThe Bristol Post suggest Karl Henry could join Bristol City from QPR in exchange for Luke Freeman. It comes after West London Sport revealed that Rangers are looking to sign Freeman and revealed that Henry has fallen out with boss Ian Holloway. The Post suggest Henry could be a makeweight in a deal to take Freeman to Loftus Road. The contracts of both players are due to expire at the end of the season and Freeman has not signed a new deal he was offered by City. Onuoha also touted for possible moveQPR captain Nedum Onuoha has again been touted for a possible move to Sunderland, this time by the Telegraph. The Mail earlier claimed that Celtic, Sunderland and Olympiacos are showing an interest in Onuoha, that he has a clause in his Rangers contract enabling him to leave on a free transfer and that Sunderland boss David Moyes previously tried to sign him for Everton. Onuoha, who spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Sunderland from Manchester City, has been touted for a move to top-flight clubs during successive transfer windows. The Telegraph say Sunderland are looking into the possibility of taking him back to the Stadium of Light. QPR make McCormack enquiry, Mail reckonQPR have made an enquiry about taking Ross McCormack on loan from Aston Villa, according to the Mail. McCormack has been linked with a return to Fulham but the Whites are not interested in re-signing their former striker. He has failed to impress since his summer move to Villa, whose manager Steve Bruce has criticised him for missing training. It is now claimed that QPR are showing an interest but could struggle to pay McCormack’s wages. Taylor speculation
The Mail also say Bristol Rovers striker Matty Taylor can go for £300,000 and that QPR and Brentford are among the clubs to have been alerted to his availability. The other clubs are Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich, the Mail say. Taylor, 26, reportedly has a clause in his Rovers contract allowing him to move this month. QPR boss Ian Holloway recently insisted he would not be interested in taking Taylor to Loftus Road. Holloway said: “He’s a very good player who belongs to Bristol Rovers and I shouldn’t talk about anybody else’s players. “There are a lot of players who step up a level and can score. But it’s about the balance I need – the pace and power to move the ball from back to front sometimes if Idrissa Sylla’s injured. “Have I got anyone who can do that? I’m not so sure I have, and Matty Taylor isn’t really that sort of player.”

....also from westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/another-qpr-player-made-available-loan-moveAnother QPR player made available for loan moveBy West London Sport 27/01/2017 QPR will loan out Niko Hämäläinen if they receive an offer for the youngster ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline. The 19-year-old left-back has made four appearances for Rangers and the club are keen for him to pick up more first-team experience. There has been some interest among League clubs but so far no firm approaches for Hämäläinen. Right-back Osman Kakay, 19, is also available for a loan move. Manager Ian Holloway would consider letting winger Olamide Shodipo leave on loan as well.

Expansion on the Ward story from westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-in-talks-overs-danny-ward-rotherham-united-in-an-attempt-to-agree-pre-deadline-dealQPR continue talks with Rotherham over WardBy David McIntyre 27/01/2017 QPR remain in discussions with Rotherham over Danny Ward but the two clubs remain considerably far apart on their valuation of the forward. Rangers have had offers of £1.2m and £1.5m for the 25-year-old rejected and are hoping Rotherham will agree to a compromise ahead of next week’s transfer deadline. The Millers say another club has offered them £2m for Ward, who has scored 10 goals for them this season. R’s boss Ian Holloway wants to bring in a striker with Championship experience.

The Daily Mail's take on the Ravel Mossison story Ravel Morrison in line for Queens Park Rangers move as former Manchester United midfielder heads for talks - Ravel Morrison is expected at Queens Park Rangers' training ground for talks - Morrison is hopeful of concluding a move to Loftus Road in the coming days - Serie A outfit Lazio will reluctantly sanction the 23-year-old's exit this month - The former Manchester United player had been training with Wigan Athletic By Sami Mokbel for MailOnline PUBLISHED: 00:16 +11:00, 28 January 2017 | UPDATED: 00:25 +11:00, 28 January 2017 Ravel Morrison is in line for a return to English football with Championship side Queens Park Rangers. The former West Ham and Manchester United star had been training with Wigan, but Morrison is expected at Rangers' training ground for talks on Friday. Morrison, currently at Lazio, is hopeful of concluding a move to Loftus Road in the coming days. The talented midfielder remains highly-rated at the Serie A giants, but Lazio will reluctantly sanction his exit this month. Morrison, who was hailed as one of the most gifted players of his generation when he broke through as a teenager at Old Trafford, has failed to make a big impression in Italy. He has made headlines for all the wrong reasons since coming to prominence. In 2011, Morrison was fined £600 for throwing his girlfriend's phone out of a window during an argument. This came after he avoided a prison sentence for witness intimidation. In the summer of 2014, Morrison was charged with two counts of common assault on an ex-girlfriend and her mother before he was bailed. Later on in the year, he was cleared of any wrongdoing for an alleged harassment of his ex over four years. When at United, Sir Alex Ferguson described Morrison as 'the best talent I've ever seen' but his behaviour off the pitch earned him a bad reputation. After making few appearances under Ferguson at Old Trafford, he left United in 2012 and joined West Ham for £1million on a three-and-a-half year deal, where for a while it seemed as if he had got his career back on track. He produced a string of impressive displays, including his performance against Tottenham in 2013 at White Hart Lane, in which he scored a brilliant individual effort. However, things soured again and his form dipped. Morrison had loan spells at Birmingham and Cardiff while he was at West Ham, but again failed to impress. The midfielder joined QPR on loan back between February and May in 2014, in between his spells at Birmingham and Cardiff, making 17 appearances for the Championship club. Rangers boss Ian Holloway will be desperate for Morrison to revive his career at Loftus Road as his side look to push up the table and get clear of the relegation zone. They currently sit 17th in the league and face Burton Albion at home on Saturday afternoon. RAVEL MORRISON'S CAREER Manchester United 2010-12: 0 appearances, 0 goals West Ham 2012-15: 18 appearances, 3 goals Birmingham 2012-13 (loan): 27 appearances, 3 goals QPR 2014 (loan): 15 appearances, 6 goals Cardiff 2014 (loan): 7 appearances, 0 goals Lazio 2015-present: 6 appearances, 0 goals Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4163662/Ravel-Morrison-line-Queens-Park-Rangers-move.html#ixzz4Wy8SLAOR Follow us: @mailonline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

Maybe he is just training with us to keep fit and people are putting 2 and 2 together to come up with 5 - otherwise I fail to see how he matches the type of player Ollie says he wants in the team or who we would leave out to make room for him.
Lazio will probably play it hard in any deal to try to recoup some of their losses on him as well.
PS According to those Daily Mail stats since 2010 he has played 73 games and scored 12 goals - half of those goals for us.
I doubt it, otherwise he would have carried on training at Wigan where he was the last two weeks. Les has always kept the door ajar for him as he said a few months ago. Hopefully Ollie has had his say if we do sign him. You can not question he is a game changer and if in the right frame of mind and fit one of the best 20 players in this Division IMO.

My guess is Goss will come in and Ollie signs Ravel.
Fact is, Goss will be the Michael Carrick figure in midfield and Ravel will be Ollies 'piano player'.
I understand the reticence about us signing Morrison, but in real terms we have no creative goal scoring midfielder now that Chery has gone. Ravel can play that role and is exactly the kind of player QPR fans love to watch at Loftus Road.
I suspect Ollie knows that full well too. Signing Ravel would give Les and Ollie massive Brownie points with our fanbase

OUTGOINGS
Gone Permanently Sandro Poulter Chery
Loaned Out Gladwin Borysiuk
Possible outgoings El Khayati Henry
Probable loans Shodipo Kakay
INCOMINGS Lua Lua on loan -winger
Very possibles
Goss - midfield Ward - Forward Morisson - Midfield Freeman - Winger
Loans back in Furlong Doughty
Seems like a decent nough window if we pull those 4 off. If Nedum goes to Sunderland will need to replace.
