Cacciatore. He's a chicken recipe. That's ok - we can sell him to Nando's if he doesn't do well on our bench.

From hereisthecity www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/20/brentfod-eye-deal-for-samba-diakite/?Brentford eye deal for Samba DiakiteGraeme Bailey @graemebailey 8 hours ago HITC Sport understands that Championship club could make a move for QPR man. Brentford are lining up a deal for Queens Park Rangers midfield misfit Samba Diakite, if they sell Toumani Diagouraga to Rangers, HITC Sport understands. Former Bees chief Mark Warburton is battling hard to land Diagouraga - who has had a transfer request turned down - and the Scottish giants believe they will land him. Brentford are now compiling a list of targets and Diakite is top of that along with Rotherham’s Richie Smallwood. Mali international Diakite has not played for QPR since 2013, having two loan spells away from the club at Watford and Al Ittihad. He returned to Loftus Road this summer but has not played a single minute, and has appeared on the bench just once and QPR will be more than happy to subsidise a loan move to Griffin Park. Diakite joined QPR in 2012, initially on-loan but then on a permanent deal. His current deal expires at the end of this season.

....also from hereisthecity. It appears the QPR are one of the interested Championsip clubs www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/20/championship-chase-on-for-norwichs-whittaker/Championship chase on for Norwich's WhittakerJohn August 7 hours ago HITC Sport understands a number of Championship clubs are chasing Norwich's Scotland international. Norwich City defender Steven Whittaker is a target for a number of Championship clubs during this month's transfer window, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the potential deal. Whittaker started the season as first-choice right-back starting eight Premier League games in the first few months of the season, scoring in the 3-1 win at Sunderland. However, Whittaker has found himself frozen under Alex Neil in recent months and has not featured since the Capital One Cup defeat to Everton in October. The Scotland international has found himself restricted to a role on the bench with Russell Martin switching from central defence to right-back. The recent signing of Ivo Pinto from Dinamo Zagreb has also pushed Whittaker further down the pecking order and Norwich are thought to be willing to listen to offers for the former Rangers man as they feel they have enough options at full-back.

....and a third one from hereisthecity quoting the Daily Mail. What's next, going non-league? www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/20/report-queens-park-rangers-want-wycombe-wanderers-aaron-pierre/?Report: Queens Park Rangers want Wycombe Wanderers' Aaron PierreJohn Verrall @johnverrall 4 hours ago Queens Park Rangers, Fulham and Brentford are all said to be interested in Wycombe Wanderers' Aaron Pierre. According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Queens Park Rangers are tracking Wycombe Wanderers defender Aaron Pierre. Fleetwood Town have already had a bid rejected for Pierre in the transfer window, and the Cod Army could now be set to miss out, with a trio of Championship sides after him. Pierre has been tracked by QPR all season, with Fulham and Brentford also reportedly keen. The centre back looks one of the finest talents in League Two, and he has been a key part of Wycombe’s defence. Gareth Ainsworth’s side are keen to keep hold of Pierre, but they do not have the financial power to hold off Championship clubs, should big offers be made. QPR have already shown a willingness to recruit from the lower leagues, after snapping up Conor Washington from Peterborough United. And it seems that Pierre could be the next player on their wishlist, as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink looks to reshape his squad at Loftus Road.

There are some good young players in non league. The skill comes in finding one that will develop enough but if don't look and try we never will find one.

Fer to stay?
From the Kilburn Times:
If the club want to keep him and can afford him, well, he's a decent player - as long as he really puts a shift in every game.

I think the key words are "potentially worth £6million"
If that's 2 or 3 million up front plus add ons if he plays, if he scores, if they get promoted and stay there etc it does not sound such a good deal.
If he performed up to his ability consistently I would say keep him but the way he keeps drifting in and out of form I would say take £6 million cash and run. But no cut price deals as he is not out of contract.

From London24 Crystal Palace heavily backed to snap up QPR outcast ahead of Liverpool 09:08 21 January 2016 Brad Pinard Crystal Palace have been heavily backed into odd-on with the bookies to sign Rob Green from QPR. The goalkeeper has been told he won’t be playing for the R’s again as he closes in on a contract clause which would result in being handed a new one-year deal. QPR aren’t keen for Green’s wages to stay as they are and so he has been told to find a new club this month. Liverpool looked favourites to sign the former England number one, however Palace have been heavily backed. The Eagles currently have three first-team goalkeepers in Wayne Hennessey, Julian Speroni and Alex McCarthy, formerly of QPR too. Alan Pardew is keen to add new talent to his squad this month to push towards the European places and Green would be a bargain for his quality. Bournemouth and West Ham have also been linked with Green. Latest Rob Green next club odds on SkyBet at time of publishing: Palace 1/3, Liverpool 6/1, Bournemouth 10/1, Hull 12/1, Newcastle 16/1, West Ham 25/1Read more at: www.london24.com/sport/football/clubs/crystal-palace/crystal_palace_heavily_backed_to_snap_up_qpr_outcast_ahead_of_liverpool_1_4387639Copyright © LONDON24

Seriously what would Palace want with Speroni, Hennesey, McCarthy and Green. Are they going to start a goalkeeper museum or something.
Unless they offload a couple, cant see them taking Rob

Bailey is generally pretty accurate with Boro news. Saying that although we turned down 6 million, Reach + 6.5 Million and Phillips can go. Reach would probably not play for us this year though and stay at loan with Preston coming to us officially after May but would be our player.

If we sign Ingram I would think that a big chunk of the cash from Charlie's sale will have been spent so it makes sense to add Motta for free on a short term deal - cannot be worse than Perch and at least we will have 2 right backs in the squad.
After that it look like only loans or sell before we buy if we want another striker or to replace Phillips.

From westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-qpr-knocked-back-over-chelsea-forward-as-norwich-are-linkedQPR told Bamford wants Premier League moveBy David McIntyre 22/01/2016 QPR have made an enquiry about Patrick Bamford but have been told the Chelsea forward is likely to join a Premier League club. Rangers have been linked with a loan move for Bamford since the 22-year-old’s recent return from an unsuccessful loan spell at Crystal Palace. An approach has been made, but Bamford, who has plenty of Football League experience having been on loan at MK Dons, Derby and Middlesbrough, has set his heart on joining another top-flight club after failing to make an impact at Palace earlier this season. Rangers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink knows Bamford well, having worked with him when the Dutchman was on the coaching staff at Nottingham Forest, who sold the player to Chelsea in 2012. QPR have argued that Bamford would be more likely to play regular first-team football at Loftus Road – Hasselbaink is keen to pair him with recent signing Conor Washington – than if he joins another Premier League side. However, a number of other Championship clubs also want him and have been putting forward the same argument. The Daily Mirror today reports that Norwich are keen to sign Bamford, who scored 19 goals for Middlesbrough last season.

Also from westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-qpr-look-to-sign-former-watford-defender-on-short-term-dealQPR want Motta on short-term dealBy David McIntyre 22/01/2016 QPR plan to offer Italian defender Marco Motta a contract until the end of the season. The 29-year-old right-back was recently granted a trial by Rangers, who have been keen to assess his fitness – Motta has been without a club since leaving Watford at the end of last season. Prior to his three-month spell at Vicarage Road, during which time he made seven league starts for the Hornets, Motta was at Juventus. Motta, who began his career at Roma and also spent a year at Udinese, was sent out on loan to Genoa, Bologna and Catania by Juve before eventually securing a move to England. Rangers believe he can provide them with short-term cover at right-back before longer-term options are assessed in the summer.

Ingram, 22, has attracted interest from a number of clubs with some impressive performances for the Chairboys, who are managed by former Rangers favourite Gareth Ainsworth. Rangers want to sign Ingram and offload Rob Green, whose contract includes a clause that would see the 35-year-old land a new deal if he makes 30 appearances this term. Green has so far made 25.

Confirmation from the Offie GOALKEEPER MATT INGRAM JOINS QPRPUBLISHED 20:30 22nd January 2016 by @qprfc R’s clinch signing of Wycombe Wanderers custodian ... QPR sign goalkeeper Matt Ingram from Wycombe Wanderers 22-year-old stopper pens deal until summer of 2020 Ingham will wear the number 29 shirt at Loftus Road QPR have completed the signing of goalkeeper Matt Ingram from Wycombe Wanderers for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old custodian, who amassed 140 appearances in all competitions for the Chairboys since making his debut in March 2013, has signed a four-and-a-half year deal until the summer of 2020. Arriving with an ever-growing reputation as the best young keeper in League Two, Ingram is relishing the opportunity to prove his worth at a higher level with Rangers, commenting: “I’m at the stage of my career when I want to progress and I see QPR as a natural step forward for me. “I spoke to the manager at length and he made me feel really welcome about coming here. “I’m by no means the finished article – as a 22-year-old goalkeeper, I’ve still got a lot to learn – and coming here gives me another platform to develop and get better. “The challenge of competing for the shirt will drive me on. Alex (Smithies) is a great keeper and I’m looking forward to working with him and the other keepers.” R’s boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is looking forward to seeing Ingram compete for a starting berth following his move to Loftus Road, telling http://www.qpr.co.uk: “Matt is one for the future, but he’s joining us at a time when he’s developing into a really good young goalkeeper. “Alex has the shirt now but I want Matt to challenge him – and that is why we have signed him. Knowing him and his character, he won’t just be coming here to sit on the bench. “I want the pair of them to push each other to the extreme. That’s the healthiness I want around the whole club. “We feel Matt will play at the highest level one day. We foresee a very bright future for him. “He’s big, strong, level-headed, works hard and shows the right mentality. I think we have bought another good asset for the club.” He added: “My staff are very important when signing a goalkeeper. “I do like certain attributes in my keepers and he certainly has those. But of course I take advice from my staff and they, like me, believe he has a very bright future. “He’s young, he’s exciting and he’s British – he ticks all three of those boxes.” Ingram, who will wear the number 29 shirt, is not eligible to feature in Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Loftus Road.
