Would it be in order to set up a "Just Giving" page so those who are able can make a small contribution to QPR in the Community trust in recognition of Gramps' sterling fund raising for them?

I think that's a very, very wonderful idea: Anyone disagree?

No would be a great idea, just let me know where to send it ,also just a thought as John was so respected in the qpr community and supported them for 75 yrs what about two mins of applause in the 75 th min at a home game, of course that would have be with the families approval, anyway just a thought

Well, today's the day my old friend. Not going to be a very good day for me personally, but at least mate, you are no longer suffering. I promise to give Maureen a few phone calls to see how she is. I miss you mate, I really do miss you.

John certainly brought something special to this board; to the world of QPR and to life in general. Sorely missed. Never forgotten. Just to clarify one thing. The funeral is tomorrow (wed) rather than today 18 Feb 2015 11.45 am All Saints Church Maldon CM9 4QE

His book may have been a fund raiser for a good cause and all that but what I enjoyed was the passion that he wrote with. Sure it was his opinion and point of view but the sincerety and passion that he wrote with. And then to do all the mailing and photocopying, printing etc. Followed by time with his wife and children and the time with his choir stuff. A man who was living life to his fullest. If only I could do half of it!
Sorry mac, i wrote the first message just after 12am here so it is today, not tomorrow.

For those that are attending John's funeral tomorrow, can I just say that I hope all goes as well as it can.
I'm sure that John will be pleased that some members of this board will be present & I ask that you convey our best wishes to his wife.
Thank you for "representing" us & once again a thank you to Ashford.
Cheers
Terry

Really upset today as I've come down with the flu and it's looking very doubtful I'll be able to attend tomorrow

Have a large Coruba and Coke, go to bed, sleep and then get up and go to the funeral. You'll be ok Rory.
Anyone confirm Mark Lazarus attending? They became close friends.

Couldn't make it today because of my flu but if anyone would happen to know if there is a place I can go to pay my respects once I'm better I would be grateful. Does anyone happen to know if he's having a headstone somewhere?
