Remmbering he is the Captain and is meant to be leading by example.

It is interesting that Barton is having to find his own counsel, suggests the club have just had it with him. In the event that he somehow remains at the club, he should not be made to train with the kids, the kids deserve better than that. I believe he was offered the clubs lawyer and decided to use his own instead. Probably a wise move to be honest as our club lawyer probably had the brief to make damned sure Joey went down. ;D

Saw on another thread that Joey is looking at Europe as QPR don't want him and there is no interest from other Prem clubs. Anyone know if that's true?

Wouldnt have thought he'd fit in too well...The Italians, for example, are a little bit more subtle in their football style.
What's going to be an obstacle to Barton is his temper/character...If he hasn't controlled it yet, not sure he's going to be able to.
Especially when he puts himself under the media glare with his tweeting. That's so self-inflicted

Yet you look at Ainsworth - Ten Years Older....Just as passionate as Mr. Barton...But nothing like him

But Ainsworth was passionate about the club, not about the money.

Joey Barton has to be given a red hand 5 salute. Red - for the red card and drama getting him off the field. Hand - Stop enuf is enuf he has to go, sack him, pay him off, but he is not what Rangers is about.. 5 - for the 5 mins he cost us the game v Man City & only thanks to Stoke we stayed up.. That looks like the original cover to the book "First Blood" by David Morrell, later to become known as Rambo - First Blood. Brilliant book, decent movie.

Long ban and he will do everyone's heads in by taking up a career in football punditary.

LOL great post... Makes me hate Barton even more now...Unbelievable... Remember his story telling about the 500k loan _ cook etc.. Nearly cost points in the league ! The rats are surfacing again.....

speculation is that barton will get nine match ban (i grant you, its according to the sun). if so i hope we can appeal undue leniency, and get the thug what he truly deserves!!!!!

What's the League rules regarding serving bans ?
I presume he has to be in the squad of 25 that Hughes will submit prior to the season kickoff in order to serve his 9/12/15 match ban ?
If not, any chance we could loan him to Celtic or elsewhere abroad for the first quarter of the season ?
How would he serve his ban if he wasn't picked in the 25 ?

It might be like injuries: Just the games he potentially could play. If he broke his foot for the first three months, the ban would serve during that time anyway, I think.
I think one can debate a little about the actual Red...But what he did after he got the Red is what (to my mind) is hardest to defend

I applaud the passion that he plays with, but when that red mist descends I find it impossible to defend him - especially with my impressionable 8 year old lad sat next to me

7 hours?! Were they looking at every incident he's ever been involved in?
Should have taken 10 mins.
Wonder if the proverbial book is being thrown at him?
