The squad haven't missed Joey, they've missed Faurlin. I certainly agree the Faurlin loss is more significant. No argument there. Gonna miss watching him the rest of the year. I'm interested to see how barton does without Faurlin's cover.

How many off us know or knows what goes on or has gone on--so have your view but hold your judgement. I am not a JB supporter and I did advocate NW to go. I did see NW on sky giving it the large and I thought shut up--you've been handsomely paid off, will no doubt have plenty of other job offers so therefore the impact of losing your job isn't what it is to most of us. So he wished us luck pre Newcastle (good gesture) then undid the gesture by opening up and sniping--the quality of a man is to keep his own counsel until absolutely necessary and I saw no reason for him to start the war. He knew JB would bite and it has no doubt had the effect he wanted but I didn't see any poking at NW pre his outburst. He also knew this would unsettle the club so I don't understand why --a bitter man I guess. That said JB should have kept his counsel too which puts them both down as overly opinionated, egotistical idiots with minimal intellect. I'm not a NW is our saviour man--he did a good job and was paid for it--it's now down to JB to do his job otherwise he will go the same way--but send your thoughts to them by twitter and email --please don't turn on anyone tomorrow as whatever happens we will still be here long after they have gone and it would be best if we were still in the prem. Funny you say that, I saw the Sky interview in full, as mentioned on the Warnock SSN thread, he didn't say anything too untoward, ni fact i thought it was a good interview. Then I read what the BBC were saying which was clearly different and i don't know where that interview came from. I prefer to make an opinion on what I see and hear someone say rather than a journalists artistic impression of what they said. Something Barton should learn.

Fair play and I probably did miss the point. I simply noted you referred to one as Joey and another as Warnock and therefore picked up on an implied favouritism, apologies as that was not the case. Although euqally guilty perhaps, Colin is gone, what he says can be interpreted how anyone cares to. Barton is club captain and therefore a club representative, he should not be getting involved in denigrating past club employees. No worries, no offense taken. I can see how the name usage could be seen that way. And I agree, Barton has to exercise far better judgement as all leaders should...I doubt he'll ever conform to that though...which could spell his end at QPR similar to his newcastle departure.

Think we've missed both of them to be honest with you and over a season Barton is always likely to score more goals than Faurlin.
Ale is a huge loss but SWP and Barton still better, on paper anyway, than anything Wigan have in MF now that N'Zog has gone. Moses is their best mid but you can't honestly say he's better than Barton or SWP.

Ugggghhh shudder the thought Blocky . well he has got on with it, and I bet Joey7barton would be the first to say that he is a worst ex-con than him and start an argument. never been in the navy but would imagine that you would have to push the bloke overboard to avoid a mutiny.

Barton's tweeting "no problem" says QPR bossPublished 21:30 20/01/12 By Darren Lewis Recommend Mark Hughes has told Joey Barton and his other QPR players – carry on tweeting. The new Hoops manager’s stance comes after his predecessor Neil Warnock claimed to have been ‘slowly poisoned’ by vibes picked up by the club's owner Tony Fernandes from fans and players on the social networking site. Warnock was sacked 13 days ago after a run of nine games without a win. And on Thursday, Barton, who will return from a three-match ban against Wigan on Saturday, was embroiled in a ‘Twitter row’ with a user claiming to be disgraced pop star Gary Glitter. He also criticised Warnock for blaming his sacking on Twitter . Yet Hughes has no problem with Barton or any of his other players using the site. Hughes said: “The only issue most managers have with Twitter and Facebook is whether issues or details that should be kept in-house are broadcast to a wider public. "That is my only personal concern, and I don’t think he has been guilty of that in the past and I don’t anticipate he will be in the future.” Asked about Barton’s tweeting on Thursday, Warnock said: “I don’t think I want to get into talking about Joey Barton. “Joey talks about himself enough and I think we’ll let Joey talk about Joey. “I just want to talk about positive things at the club.” But Hughes said of Barton’s tweeting: “It’s part of his life, he enjoys it. "Some guys like golf, others play snooker. Joey seems to Twitter all day. I haven’t got a problem with that.” Hughes has also backed Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips amid claims both players are failing to live up to their star billing at the club. Wright-Phillips – who worked with Hughes at Manchester City – was booed by a section of Rangers fans in the club’s midweek FA win over MK Dons. Hughes added: “It’s not an issue from my point of view, as I know the qualities that Shaun can produce. “The place was a little bit low-key for the FA Cup game, but that was a consequence of playing Sunday to Tuesday. “I’m comfortable that we’ll get a marked improvement by virtue of having more time to prepare. “Shaun is a great outlet for us. He gives us good energy and he’ll create chances and convert chances. “Joey was disappointed, getting sent off in the circumstances he did. It was harsh and even before my appointment I felt that. “At times, maybe his reputation goes before him. It’s understandable with big players like Joey, as they divide opinion. “I’m just delighted that I’ve got the opportunity to work with him. It's only when you watch him work on a daily basis that you understand the qualities that a player has. “We did a little bit of extra training the other day and you saw the quality of strikes in terms of volleying and passing angles, and his understanding of the game. “They are first rate and sometimes looking in from the outside you don’t always appreciate that.” www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/QPR-Joey-Barton-cleared-to-carry-on-posting-on-Twitter-by-new-manager-Mark-Hughes-article855659.html

Absolute utter disgrace who is an embarassment to your club. You lost the QPRHAHAHa status when NW took you up FFS, now it's simply returned. I don't come on here to mock I genuinely don't and for what ever reason he went, well, it's irrelevant here it's not a players place to get involved and sling mud around. Club captain?? Pfffff nice representation of the new era, d1ck!!
If I know Sean (and I do actually lol) It's not going to be pretty for Mark Hughs. The old guard wont be happy with this and minds should be focused on errrr Wigan. Just a little dog fight to get passed. Sheeeeeeesh

I'm trying to think of previous players denigrating their former manager so blatantly, so viciously....And off hand I can't. Not for QPR. Not elsewhere. Obviously players always praise the new manager and say things are better. But this. And for a new boy who wasn't even at the club in the 18 months of Warnock's saving and promoting us...
I wouldn't boo tomorrow...I hope he leads us to victory tomorrow and safety (although I'm not sure he will)...And then hope we sell him (for big profit) in the summer...

Only seems a few weeks ago that he was slagging off everybody at Newcastle. Lets face it, wherever Barton is playing it is going to be the same. He cannot keep his mouth shut about anything that is on his mind. Even so I would still rather have Barton anyday than that b*****d King.

I see Warnock is diffusing the situation rather than escalating...good for him Published on Saturday 21 January 2012 09:00 Former QPR manager Neil Warnock is not planning on entering a war of words with former captain Joey Barton. The former Sheffield United boss lost his job at Loftus Road two weeks ago, just seven months after winning promotion to the Premier League. He reacted earlier this week by suggesting forces inside and outside of the club had been “poisoning” owner Tony Fernandes against him via social networking site Twitter. That prompted the outspoken Barton to launch an attack on the 63-year-old yesterday, with him tweeting that Warnock was an “embarrassment” and comparing him to fictional manager Mike Bassett. But writing in the Independent this morning, Warnock insisted he does not want to trade blows with the player who he signed from Newcastle in August, saying: “I`m told Joey Barton had a few things to say about me on Twitter last night. Obviously, I`m disappointed with the comments, but I don`t feel there`s any need to respond. “I don`t have a problem with anybody at QPR and when I tuned in on Sunday to watch their match at Newcastle I was cheering them on. “That might surprise people since I was sacked but most of the QPR players I brought to the club, many of them are the same players who did me so proud in winning the Championship last season, so obviously I want them to do well.” Warnock also claims his comments about Fernandes have been taken out of context. He said: “I`m not bitter at all towards Tony Fernandes and I was disappointed at the way some comments I made on TV this week were sensationalised by the tabloids. “I was asked about tweeting and said it was a dangerous path to go down, when players and fans are tweeting the chairman, as one person’s opinion could get undue weight, and it`s hard to have much context in 140 characters. “Then I picked up the papers and read I was “poisoned”, which wasn`t what I meant at all.” www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/saturday_warnock_shrugs_off_barton_s_barbs_1_4167418

Fed up to the back teeth with barton but as kilburn says, he has to play really, just hope he does turn up and play. I just hope that an atmosphere doesn't surge up against him that affects the whole team and performance. Going to have to bite my lip re him but cheer the lads on.

I hope I am not talking out of turn here. If this comment is referring to the quote that I cribbed from Mac and posted on the back of an exchange between Hitman and Superckat "...You are absolutely obssessed...You are indicating an agenda. You have an addiction problem" then the comment is firmly aimed at Hitman (sorry Superckat if I overcaptioned and it looked like it was aimed at you {Oh, and happy birthday mate!}). If on the other hand I've got it arse about face then I apologise to hitman for poking my nose in.
