QPR have pulled off a transfer surprise by landing Djibril Cisse from Lazio, according to reports in Italy. The striker is set to move to Loftus Road for around £4m as Mark Hughes continues his frantic spending spree in the final hours of the window. Having signed Taye Taiwo on loan and Nedum Onuoha on a permanent deal, Hughes has now addressed the need for more firepower up front with the acquisition of Cisse. I confess to being "backward'/"inward looking" and all the other undoubtedly valid criticisms of me: But I would prefer a QPR team made up primarily (but not exclusively) of UK Players.
Now I realize you get better deals from abroad...And maybe better players.
Just saying if I had my druthers, I would have liked it
