I am privy to the 'real' names of some members here due to sending them books and there is one of them named Wardle but not George and, what's more, I'll bet he's not as good looking as George!!

Reckon it will get to the £1000 mark tomorrow. Hoping, hoping, hoping............................ Everybody will know as soon as it does (provided I can see to post through the emotion of the moment .) Waiting eagerly for the post to come as there may be an order or two. There are also a couple of payments to come in the post but I don't add those in until they are in my hand. We are effectively 'there' but I want it to be official.

To be honest, Gramps: It's the kind of "Feel Good" only positive type stuff - both the subject of the book; and the funds to the Community in the Trust, that I wouldnt be at all surprised if they did do that. (Of course any "QPR Report" connection might harm your chances!)

We shall see. As this is being done through the Press Office I may have blotted my copy book by reminding them that they have totally ignored three earlier emails from me. Hey ho! Do I look like I'm worried?

They deserve to be there. Each of the major sites was responsible for at least 100 visitors. The surprising one though was (is) QPRdot.org, who have sent more visitors than all the other sites combined! Their membership may be bigger, or there are a lot of "old times" over there... I don't know. Anyway, well done to everyone for getting to 1000 pounds. Now working on the next thousand!

The actual amount now raised is £1040. As I am, however, gift aiding this to the trust, legally because it is my profit and I am a tax payer, the true amount to be donated is £1300. OK, I know that there have been Report/WATRB problems in the past (and may still be) but I am not interested in that. All I know is that the WATRB have supported this project brilliantly and I thank them. Not sure if we have any former players who might look at this board but if we have and they have seen the book then I would be pleased to hear from them about what they thought about it. I think the answer is, however, in the negative as I don't recognise any players' names on those I have posted out. As I am also a member of dot.org this may possibly have helped with their response.

Re Your book doing well/And you doing great things for the club And it's no surprise that posters on other QPR board (when they hear about the book) are eager to buy it and also to indirectly support such a worthy cause. And Canada has made a great website As for your reference to QPR Report-WATRB "problems" Just for the record - I would restate that: The QPR Report board has had no "problems" as you put it, with WATRB. Some here read it. Some don't. Some also post there. Many don't. (Or have ceased to). And the reverse is true: Most WATRB posters have no problems with this board. Again: Some read here. Some don't. Now it is true that a few people leave WATRB and then come here and then make reference to WATRB. We've discouraged that. And it is definitely a fact that there are a handful of former (or current) Paladini acolytes - a couple from WATRB (including the co-owner). And Two or three or four WATRB "Alumni" whose posting history and attacks on this board (and me personally) both direct and indirect (up to the present day) very much speaks for itself. But even their money is as good as anyone elses' and helps a worthy cause.

Especially Dot.org I would just add that The QPR Report Blog vis NewsNow also sent multi-hundreds to the site. (But did so before your tracking was installed!)

Mac is correct. The industry standard Google Analytics, which lets one see which sites visitors arrive from (but not who they are), was added three days after the site went up, so I don't have the early stats. I will be adding The QPR Report Blog to the list of supporters at the next update, and hopefully a couple of others. Meanwhile, yes, any more former players who would like to comment on the book or the project please contact Gramps. Just a few words from you can play a great part in helping us take the project, and the funds it is raising for the QPR In The Community Trust, to the next level. Thank-you.

Just been looking at the latest Google stats. A huge amount of people are visiting the book website - from no less than 38 countries/territories. The one that amazed me is that in the past week there have been three visits from Russia of all places.

Of course we've just had two cable thefts from Dale Farm residents in the space of a week so my internet has been down for about two weeks. Thankfully it's back now.
