Bump (And as I noted a couple days ago) Edit/Bump...16 Years ago .. QPR Official Site - September 22, 1999 "RANGERS BIGGER THAN FULHAM" RANGERS chairman Chris Wright was impressed by the huge turnout of Rangers fans at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Mr Wright says:"Our support at Fulham was excellent. The reality is that QPR are a much bigger club than Fulham. You've only got to go to a game like that and see all the Rangers fans there to prove that traditionally and in every sense we are much bigger than Fulham. "Frankly, it was strange going to a ground with standing on three out of the four sides. I don't think I've seen that at any ground in Division One. I know Fulham are hoping to improve their facilities, but clearly in terms of tradition and support there is a huge difference between Rangers and Fulham. "I feel very sorry for the Rangers fans who see Fulham as the upstarts and junior neighbours from across town. It's very upsetting to go there and lose to them. I sincerely hope that we win the return match. " Read more: qprreport.proboards.com/thread/40014/flashback-qpr-chairman-bigger-fulham#ixzz3mesgH796

Fulham defender admits he could have joined QPR - now ex-Spurs player wants to upset Rs coach who made his career
09:34, 25 SEP 2015 BY PAUL WARBURTON
Fredericks wants to make Chris Ramsey's night miserable
Ryan Fredericks will tonight do what he can to upset the person that made the Fulham right-back’s career.
If the north London born defender performs to his best, it might just make Chris Ramsey smile, well, a bit.
That’s because Ramsey’s QPR could be on the receiving end in the big west London derby. But at the same time, he can look at Fredericks as a job well done.
The Rs coach took on the youngster from schoolboy level at Tottenham and watched him progress all the way to the first team.
Fredericks added: “I look to (director of football) Les Ferdinand and especially Chris Ramsey. He was my coach all the way back to U15s and all the way to the first team.
“He’s a really great coach and a great guy, and I owe a lot to him."
Fredericks admits he could have joined Rs in the summer, but two clubs later finds himself on the other side.
He explained: “It’s been a bit of a roundabout few weeks. I got to Fulham the long way around, and happy to have done so.
“There were a few options in the summer and I wanted to do what was best for my career, which at the time I thought was Bristol City, but it wasn’t, and I ended up back home in London with a big club.
“I wasn’t homesick in Bristol: there were a few family issues back here and had a chance to come back and look after them - it was something I had to do.
“Things didn’t work out (for a move to QPR). I didn’t end up there, I ended up here and I’m happy with the choice I made.”
Fredericks comes in for the injured Jazz Richards determined to hang on to the slot and prove he can play right, left or even down the wing.
Boss Kit Symons reckons now his new player’s quad problem has healed he has the ‘speed to catch pigeons.’
Fredericks believes it starts with watching Ramsey’s face drop.
“It will be nice to see him, but obviously there are no friends on the pitch. If that means making him upset so be it.”

From westlondonsport and betvictor.com the odds www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/sides-struggling-fancy-fulham-saturdays-derbyBoth sides are struggling but we fancy Fulham in Saturday’s derbyBy Charlie McCann, betvictor.com 30/09/2016 Both Fulham and QPR have problems ahead of Saturday’s derby at Craven Cottage.charlie-mcCann_Aff Neither team have managed a win in September, but can they get October off to a flyer? Well, we at BetVictor fancy the Whites for this one and they are 11/10 favourites. A Rangers win is 14/5 and the draw is 12/5, Fulham’s Tom Cairney is 10/1 to score the first goal in a game I expect to see both sides find the back of the net. A 2-1 win for the hosts is the recommendation (8/1 at BetVictor) in what promises to be a tight, tense, full-blooded affair.

Does todays, Fulham match thread go here. Im totally confused. Anyway, Ian, I saw both those games in the forties, we used to crush fulham. Ivor Powell I believe was on loan to Villa, correct me if I was wrong. Ridyards false teeth went to referee for safe keeping. Reg Allen allen was in the Army, don't know where Jefferson was. but players went all over those days.Oh I see Allen was back for the second program, along with Powell and Jefferson. think that was George Powell. Anyway, we were in the second division for the second game, where we stayed 4 years while Reg was sold to Man U for the biggest fee at that time. I sat in the children's enclosure or with my Uncle at back of what was the grandstand. The Ellerslie Rd Stand. great memories.

From the BBC - take the stats either way you want: ◾QPR have won only one of their last six home matches against Fulham (D2 L3), a 2-1 win in the Premier League in December 2012. ◾Fulham failed to beat the Hoops in both league matches last season - they haven't gone three without a win against them in all competitions since May 1983 (a run of four). ◾The Hoops have lost their last 10 league matches played on a Friday, a run that stretches back to December 2014.◾QPR boss Ian Holloway is yet to defeat Fulham in a home match as a manager (D3 L3). ◾QPR are unbeaten in their last six home league games (W4 D2) - their longest run since a run of nine in December 2015. ◾Fulham have lost just one of their last eight away from home in the Championship (W5 D2), a 2-1 loss at Burton earlier this month. Why are we always so crap on the telly?!

The central midfield picks itself , Sylla doesn't offer enough and lynch is missing a football brain , the defense looks like our problem area along with width .. Wheeler deserves a start but too be fair Fulham looked more organised and had a bit more about them ! Norwood looks top draw and there keeper were the standouts ..

Wheeler deserves a start but too be fair Fulham looked more organised and had a bit more about them ! Norwood looks top draw and there keeper were the standouts .. On Lynch, I think it's his decision making combined with his lack of pace/ability to pivot quickly. He gets rolled far too easily - sometimes cos he steps up when he shouldn't, other times simply cos he gets done for pace on the turn. He does the basics well and he's strong and all the usual caveats about how if he was much better he wouldn't be at QPR etc etc. He's a pretty average Championship CB who's done relatively alright for us. But it's certainly a flaw in his game and you can see pacier strikers target him for it.
