And it's QPR vs Fulham Tomorrow
Flashback
QPR visit Fulham Football Club.
Well what can i say , the day of our first London Derby game is soon to be upon us !
It's been a long time coming and i can safely say how proud i am to be able to watch Queens Park Rangers play one of these in the Premier League again .
The thought of eight of these Derbies is pretty mouthwatering prospect and we kick of with an away trip to Fulham FC .
Well one thing is for sure this will be our first meeting together in the top flight !
From our last League meeting on 10.3.2001 (old Div 1 ) to our earliest League encounters
15.9.1928 (Div 3 south)these have spanned 73 years with some 27 meetings in all competitions.(22 league)
Of course we have had earlier meetings prior to the league as mentioned below and we also have some ground sharing and various Managers/Players that have played for both.
Previous three meetings.
(In the old Div One)
10.3.2001 Fulham 2 QPR 0 (Old Div 1)
31.1.2001 QPR 0 Fulham 2 (Old Div 1 )

Fulham wins 6 , including 2 wins at Loftus Road..

Total Goals
QPR – 29
Fulham - 22
Although we have had much of the better over Fulham in the League games , in the Cups
we have met on four occasions
Three times we have failed against Fulham in the FA Cup and one defeat in the League Cup in 1970 .
However we did have this Cup win in 1892 !
QPR 3–2 Fulham (1892) - The West London Cup Final at Kensal Rise saw League winners Fulham take on the emerging QPR.
Fulham were favourites, but QPR were not to be underestimated. They were just beginning to establish themselves as one of West London's top sides. Fulham had firmly established themselves as the best team in the area, because they had won the West London League for two years running.
Fulham raced into a 2-0 lead and held it at half-time. QPR somehow managed to pull it back and won their first piece of silverware. This is seen as the first famous derby.
Last Meeting
When we last met in the old division 1 on 10 th March 2001 we lost 2-0 at Craven cottage.
Fulham were currently top of the League after 36 games on 82 points whilst we were 22nd on 33 points.
Fulham went on win the League on 101 points and have been in the Premiership ever since.
Unfortunately at the end of the season we finished 23rd on 40 points and were relegated.
Match report from QPR V Fulham 31st Jan 2001
Fulham outclassed struggling Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road to move 10 points clear at the top of Division One.
On-loan Dane Peter Moller and German Karlheinz Riedle, in his first match this season, were on the scoresheet as Fulham ran out 2-0 winners.
QPR had started the game still looking shellshocked from Saturday's 6-0 FA Cup mauling by Arsenal and for the first half hour they hardly got a kick as Fulham were content to stroke the play around the park.
But it took the visitors until the fourth minute of first-half injury time before they finally grabbed the lead.
That came courtesy of a howler from Rangers goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko.
Louis Saha fed Moller on the left edge of the penalty area but his shot straight at the keeper looked harmless until Miklosko somehow let it slip under his body and into the net.
The second half provided much more goalmouth activity at both ends but it was still Fulham who were looking the more likely to score.
QPR had a glorious chance to level matters on 58 minutes when Ian Baraclough crossed to Peter Crouch. He nodded the ball into the path of Chris Kiwomya but from just a couple of yards out the striker headed straight at Taylor.
Riedle replaced Moller for Fulham and after he had one effort brilliantly saved by the keeper it was the German who made sure of victory with the second goal on 78 minutes.
Goldbaek swung in a corner from the right to the head of Riedle and despite Miklosko getting a hand to the ball it flew into the top corner.
There was no way back for QPR as they struggle near the bottom of Division One.

Fulham groundshare with QPR.
Fulham will play their home games at Loftus Road home next season while Craven Cottage undergoes a £70million refit, the club confirmed today.
Jean Tigana's team will play at the 19,148-capacity home of Queens Park Rangers, close to their own ground in west London throughout the 2002-03 campaign, before returning to their revamped home which will have been transformed into an all-seater stadium accommodating 30,000 fans.
Fulham chairman Mohamed Al Fayed is pleased his club will continue to play close to Craven Cottage, rather than force fans to trek across the capital to Upton Park, which was the other ground-sharing option.
"I'm delighted we have now secured a temporary home within the [Hammersmith and Fulham] borough," said Fayed. "I'm personally very pleased we are able to offer to help QPR through what is a very difficult time in the club's history.
Loftus Road plc chief executive David Davies emphasised the importance of the deal to his organisation. "We are very pleased to announce this deal, which will bring much-needed revenue into the company," he said.
"It will also make QPR a more attractive proposition to a potential buyer. A lot of hard work has gone into this deal and I'd like to thank the staff for all their efforts."
Rugby union side Wasps must now finalise their plans to leave Loftus Road, which Fulham will pay a reported fee of around £1million to share for nine months.
