QPR’s Blackwood scores five in 15-0 winRecent signing Tyler Blackwood scored five goals and Ben Pattie grabbed four in a 15-0 win for QPR’s Under-21s in Italy. The Rangers youngsters demolished Verbania Calcio in a one-sided pre-season friendly, with Frankie Sutherland and Olamide Shodipo both scoring twice and Osman Kakay and Aaron Mitchell also finding the net. Another summer signing, Axel Prohouly, featured in the game and there was also an outing for Michael Petrasso following the winger’s recovery from a long-term knee injury. Blackwood, signed on a one-year deal having been on trial towards the end of last season, scored his goals in the first half, completing a hat-trick in just 23 minutes. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/tyler-blackwood-scores-five-wls-football7675

Lovely, nice good testing game again then They're U21's Harr. Basically reserves. What standard of opposition do you think reserves usually play against in pre season? I agree we need to see him against better opponents and in competitive situations with more established players around him though.

Regardless of opposition, his touch and finishing was there for all to see today.

harr ... Looks like it was a man v boy game. Sadly yes FloridaR Rory, not knocking the lads ability, he played well, just stating opposition looked exceedingly weak. Charlie could look very good against Chelmsford Town, less so against Stoke City. They might well be good games but in an ideal world we need teams to be testing our defence at the same time. Our defence will be tested all year in the Championship and under 21 level, these two games did not test them imo. Thats my only real point .

No they didn't test them at all but for the first game that's really not important. The next game for the first team will be a big test, Monaco are a Champs League team and knocked out Arsenal.

No win situation for the lad probably.
Knock 5 past Serie D team and they're crap.
Blank against Stoke and he's crap.
I'm sure there was once a time when we'd actually have been quite thrilled that a kid we just signed scored 5 in a pre season warm up.

Yep, the opposition will get really tough, good to see. Defenders will be tested for sure. Not blaming Ramsey for any of this by the way

These days though rather than 10 and 15 nils , like to see us get tested a bit at the back. You can win 5-0 all day against weak teams but then still get thumped at Charlton. Like Rory said though , first games good to get eased in a bit I suppose.
