I was meant to be in Lake Como for the month of July, could have popped over to watch this. Then I got the wife pregnant. Again. She'll be 8 months when this is on so it's a no go for me. I love my kids but Lake Como and QPR in one holiday? They better appreciate the sacrifices I make for them.

From the Offie #RSINITALY – QPR v AS MONACO STADIUM CHANGEPUBLISHED 21:45 12th July 2015 by @qprfc Venue change for QPR's friendly against AS Monaco ... THE club has been forced to make further changes to our pre-season friendly schedule in Italy. Due to the extreme weather conditions in Italy at present, the quality of the pitches (pictured above) have been severely affected and as a result, both QPR and AS Monaco have agreed that Tuesday’s clash – initially scheduled for the Novarello Training Centre – will now be switched to Stadio E.Brunod Chatillon, Via Italo Mus No. 20, Chatillon, (AO). The match will still kick-off at 17.00pm local time (16.00pm BST). As a result of the late change, the club is putting on two free chartered coaches to take supporters to and from the stadium. The coaches will leave the Grand Hotel Bristol in Stresa (Corso Umberto I, 73, Stresa VB, Italy) at 14.00pm (local time) and return after the match. Supporters wishing to take advantage of the free travel should email iant@qpr.co.uk as soon as possible to confirm their place. QPR’s Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, told http://www.qpr.co.uk: “The condition of the pitches are of paramount importance to clubs in pre-season and following a standard check by ourselves and Monaco earlier today, we were both in agreement that we needed to find an alternative pitch. “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our supporters who have travelled to Italy to watch us, but I hope they understand and I’m sure they’d agree that the players’ well-being and safety is vital at this stage of pre-season. “I sincerely hope that the change doesn’t affect their plans too much and I hope to see as many of them as possible at the game.” As a result of the aforementioned extreme weather conditions, the First Team’s fixture against Al Ittihad on Friday 17th July and the Under-21’s game versus FC Lugano on Saturday 18th July – at this stage – remain subject to confirmation. An update on the above fixtures will be announced as soon as possible. Read more at www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/qpr-monaco-italy-venue-change-2542543.aspx#6APbGg1ZA2gSGfqE.99

The club can take absolutely no blame for this. Not their fault Shaktar dropped out, not their fault the pitch is now terrible because of the heatwave.
Seems Chievo have cancelled their two other English friendlies that were just before our's on the 2nd August so expect that to drop out too
