It's Mail, West London Sport and others (See Transfer Gossip thread) West London Sport QPRQPR boss Redknapp ponders Morrison move Soccer - Sky Bet Championship - Queens Park Rangers v Leeds United - Loftus Road 19/12/2014 By David McIntyre Harry Redknapp is considering taking Ravel Morrison back to QPR. The wayward 21-year-old has returned to West Ham after a loan spell at Cardiff City was cut short. Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has indicated that Morrison has no future at Upton Park, where the player arrived in 2012 after being booted out of Manchester United by Sir Alex Ferguson following a number of misdemeanours. But Morrison impressed during his better moments in a mixed loan spell at QPR last season – and Redknapp is open to giving him what the Rangers manager believes could be a final chance to save his career. Redknapp, who says he is looking primarily at loan deals ahead of next month’s transfer window, said: “I like Ravel. He’s had problems but he’s not a nasty boy. I didn’t find him to be a nasty type of lad. “It would be a gamble, but if you’re in the loan business then you’re in the gambling business – you’re going to gamble on someone. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/redknapp-considering-ravel-morrison-swoop“I think I might be his last chance. Fergie got rid of him, Sam’s got rid of him and they’re top, top, top managers. He’s obviously got to look at himself. “But I am open to taking them chances with people. Maybe I’ll do it, I don’t know.” Last month Morrison, an England Under-21 international, was cleared of threatening to throw acid in the face of his ex-girlfriend, have her killed and blow up her house. He also denies three remaining charges of assault and will stand trial on 26 January. Redknapp said: “He’s got amazing talent and he’s going to waste his career unless he sorts himself out quickly. “We don’t want to be looking back in 15 years saying ‘what a fantastic player he could have been’. “He is an amazing talent and glides over the pitch, he just doesn’t put it all together. I don’t know where he’ll be in 15 years’ time.”

Yes my lads just been showing me it all over Twitter . He has a talent , did well for us on loan right up until he wasn't played in the play off games . Was that team formation or some other issue? If you get a loan player you Havnt worked with its a gamble with what you get . If it's Townsend or Defoe on loan you know what you get but look at Some of the dreadful loans we have had in the last few years .
Personally if Harry wanted him, I stick by his judgement , maybe a Hoddle can work on him . It might be worth a punt .
Hopefully we can at least get rid of Adel this window . Let's not forget we have Barton in our team and boy he did far worse over the years and he's accepted.

Did ok for us in the Championship. As a backup player and on a loan I'd want Ravel Morrison at QPR.

I really hope not.
I saw this person leaving Loftus Road and a small child came up to ask him for his autograph, he completely ignored him and jumped into a waiting Merc. The dad shrugged and the little lad looked bemused.
Whilst it is how they play on the pitch that counts players like this that think they are better than 'normal' humans being blessed with an ability to kick a football should be available to sign an autograph for a young fan.
When you read that Hereford have gone bust because they owe £1 million yet Joe Hart has just signed a deal that will give him a million every 8 weeks you sort of wonder what planet we live on.
Back to the thread.
Morrison no. Another bad influence on a dressing room that I'm not sure is quite as together and united as the spin doctors would have us believe.

There's On the Field/Football related, training ground, etc
And off the field
Maybe Adel has "flaws" away from football & training field. But if so, I'm not aware of them.
There are certain people I don't want at QPR even if they DO perform.
At one end, I think we'd all (or most) would agree: Wouldnt want Ched Evans or Marlon King - even if they were to contribute on the field.
I personally didnt want Barton at QPR again because of who he was. But that was me.
So for me, even is you were to say Morrison WOULD turn into a great player, fulfilling his potential: I'd say stop.
To point out that Redknapp et al have spoken about only "The right sort"...

Absolutely not. Let someone else worry about what he is going to do, or threaten, next.

Are we not forgetting something here - if he is convicted of the outstanding assault charges he could well go down, so what a waste of time that would be and do we think he is going to be concentrating on his game with that on his mind - I don't think so. Does he still get paid if he does go down or is it instant dismissal?
Stick to the horses Harry if you want to gamble.

Or is there something else pending? EDIT! You're right, I missed the rest of the stuff. In that case NO.

He lost his way in our Championship team due to poor performances Would have to disagree. His playing depended on what Harry wanted"shape" wise, tthen he got injured right at the end of the season. And I don't recall him having been a problem at QPR. What happened to the do the crime do the time? Shouldn't people who have served their time in prison for a crime have paid their debt to society. Apparently not according to some on this thread. All too PC you mob IMO.

No, only because we could deal with his attitude last year, this year however we have Adel still here and having the both of them would be a nightmare.

You never know, he may be 'not guilty', plenty of people are. If the newspapers tabloids do their usual then everyone will think he's guilty because they said so. I'm not defending him, just the right of people to be not guilty until they are proven otherwise.

Even before this, he's got a past. He absolutely has the right in a court of law - and in public - to be regarded as innocent until found otherwise. I think when deciding to hire someone, you look deeply into his character - and don't just base it one what's been proven "beyond all reasonable doubt' in a court of law. As someone tweeted this morning: mickybei @mickbei 46m46 minutes ago qprreport agreed. Taarabt has a questionable attitude whereas Morrison is a nasty little sh1t

No defo not. Need Defenders to come into club. I have to agree here, only attacking player we could use is one striker, otherwise a RB/CB and a defensive midfielder.

No for me.... He's trouble!!!! He wasn't the last time he was at QPR Two of the strongest managers in the history of the Premier League (Fergie & Big Sam) have both got rid of him. Tells a story!!!! Also pretty sure he's still on bail awaiting court case for assault? ?
