Hey Fabs I take your point about relaying what the Club's saying and alternative points of view, but what they're saying is pure bs. If we can take on the Football League over FFP the Club should be able to do the same over hoops.
Time they grew a decent backbone and went into bat for our hoops not roll over and play dead!
Not at all happy!

Same reason we got a government 65% of the country didn't want...... Have a look at Greece, that could/would have been us... <snip> Anyone else see the irony in QPR launching the new kit on the day Greece falls foul of IMF rules? Here's a new kit suggestion, empathising with the Greek situation and hinting at our own financial faux pas concerning FFP rules...

Nice shirt! My feeling: The Club Owners have limited knowledge or care re Club History. I pointed this out 2-3 weeks ago. Not been changed TUNES Jun 10, 2015 at 4:59am Post by Macmoish on Jun 10, 2015 at 4:59am Regretfully time for Tune Group to "Update" its description of QPR Tune group About Us www.tunegroup.com/about.htmlOur Portfolio www.tunegroup.com/portfolio.html... Saffa emailed this around, it was posted on his forum (qprdot.org) which possibly explains the situation. It is just about ill conceived enough and daft enough to be true.
The problem specifically with our kits and the name/number clarity rule (it is there, I assure you) - is the colours. Blue/White - considered by FIFA/UEFA as primarily dark and primarily light- for TV purposes. Teams with red/white stripes, your Sunderland's, Stoke's, Brentford etc...(light/light according to FIFA - though Spain darkened their red to a deeper colour and wore a white away strip as their "light" alternate) - can put a big black number and lettering on the reverse and it is perfectly legible from the 50 odd metres demanded by TV companies. We can't do that. Black/Red number clashes with the blue, White numbers clash and blends in with the white. Lettering similar - red won't show on blue etc. WBA's numbering etc will be interesting this year as they've moved back to navy and blue thick stripes. They used to have a white patch with red numbers too.
Our shirts do necessitate a patch and the little white patches have been visible on the back of our kits since the early 70's on and off. Size of the patch is key. Celtic (also Nike until this year) had the same horrific big white patch for UEFA games. Barcelona had to have a big patch on their Nike shirts for UEFA games until they moved to the yellow numbering and lettering. It's a Nike design and I don't think Tony or Ruben or Ian Taylor jumping up and down saying 100 fans are moaning is going to change the global mega corporations kit templates to deal with football's TV rulings.
When you get into bed for £10m a season with a global superpower, you have to suck it up sometimes.

I'm sure with a little ingenuity, they could have had A Patch that would have show the number/name...Doesnt take the whole of the back of the shirt.
If Adidas or Lotto can do it, but NIKE can't, then we shouldn't have "sold [our] birthright for a mess of pottage!"

I bet it is the people who attended the fans forum who are pushing this out to their various sites. There is a thread on another MB, with an apparent response from the Premier League, which suggests the club jumped the gun and F***ed up again re the hoops. They should/would have known if they voted against it, it would never have been approved, so they wanted the non hoop version, for what ever reason. "At our 2014 summer AGM our clubs agreed that a Rule should be drafted to make shirt numbers more visible. This followed complaints that numbers on some shirts were unclear. Time was then taken to establish guidelines, and we understand that QPR’s kit designs for 2015/16 were finalised and in production during this period. Ultimately, once the guidelines were established, clubs decided against the Rule at a later point in the 2014/15 season. Work is continuing to research and develop further options for our clubs to consider"

The post wasn't by Saffa himself, but again that is hardly conclusive evidence. Time to move on to the next debacle I guess.
