We cant be interested if we filled our 25 .
SUNDERLAND, QPR ALERTED AS VALENCIA RELEASE JONAS FROM CONTRACT Submitted by Tribal Football Staff 7 hours ago Sunderland, QPR and Newcastle United are on alert over the availability of Valencia striker Jonas.
The Brazilian terminated his contract with Valencia by mutual consent last night.
It's understood Jonas would be happy to remain in Europe and his representatives are in contact with Premier League clubs about his availability.
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is particularly keen after failing to land Liverpool striker Fabio Borini yesterday.
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes is also interested, being a fan of Brazilian football.
In three seasons with Los Che, Jonas scored an impressive 82 goals.
Maybe we should have left a place open ?

From talksport Simpson shocked by QPR exit By talkSPORT (@talksport) | Tuesday, September 2, 2014 Leicester City defender Danny Simpson says he was stunned to be sold by QPR manager Harry Redknapp last week. The former Manchester United and Newcastle man was moved on with little warning after Rangers signed Mauricio Isla on loan to compete for the right-back role. Simpson said: "I was quite surprised when Harry Redknapp pulled me into his office said Leicester City had made an enquiry, how do I feel and that he was happy to let me go. "I had enjoyed a good pre-season and was ready to hit the ground running in the Premier League, so it was a little bit of a shock after the year I'd had. "I thought about what he said and decided I wanted to play for Leicester City and improve my opportunity for first-team football. Harry's brought in a lot of players, so you have to respect his decision. However, I am ready to push on with Leicester now and work as hard as I possibly can." From hereisthecity. Rates our signing of Sandro as the best deadline day signing! hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/09/02/top-five-deadline-day-signings-united-arsenal-saints-hull-qpr-bu/Top five deadline day signings - Including United, Arsenal and QPR John Verrall We rank the best deadline deals of the 2014/15 summer transfer window - with Manchester United, Arsenal, Southampton, Hull City and Queens Park Rangers all featuring. After a particularly busy transfer deadline day we analyse the best deals struck from the Premier League clubs. 5) Radamel Falcao [AS Monaco – Manchester United] Manchester United, in signing Falcao, have arguably the best forward line in world football. The Colombian joins an attacking group which contains the likes of Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Robin Van Persie and unquestionably adds a huge amount of quality to the squad. A striker who can bludgeon his way through defences, or beat them with poise, Falcao is a complete forward and his signing lifts United back into the Premier League elite. Talent-wise, the Monaco loanee is the greatest player in the list, but in joining he became the most expensive temporary signing in history and, with his past injury record still a concern, there was better value for money found elsewhere. 4) Toby Alderweireld [Atletico Madrid – Southampton] Southampton’s summer will be remembered for the players they have lost – with Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren and Calum Chambers all departing – but they have bought extremely well. Some top talents from across Europe have come in and the signing of Toby Alderweireld yesterday rounded off what can now be viewed as a positive summer. Although they have lost a significant amount of quality, they have made a huge amount of profit and brought in some very talented stars who should be capable of compensating for their considerable losses. Alderweireld may be the best signing of an excellent crop of additions, too. The Belgian has something to prove after failing to break into the Atletico Madrid side last season, but he is still a very competent defender and bringing him in on loan appears shrewd business from Ronald Koeman. 3) Danny Welbeck [Manchester United – Arsenal] Danny Welbeck’s transfer from Manchester United signifies the breakaway from a club policy which has served them so well in the past. The youngster came through the youth system and has been promising, but the Red Devil’s unquenchable thirst for big names this summer has forced him out the door. United’s loss is Arsenal’s gain, though, and for £16 million he may just become one of the best buys of the summer. 2) Hatem Ben Arfa [Newcastle United – Hull City] The fact that Hatem Ben Arfa was allowed to leave Newcastle United is a sad situation. Alan Pardew has struggled to harness his greatest weapon over recent times and his departure is a major blow for the club. One of the most talented players in the Premier League, the Frenchman is a match-winner and his signing is a tantalising prospect for Hull City supporters. If Steve Bruce can show that he can handle the enigmatic winger better than Pardew and give him the freedom that he desires then he should shine at the KC Stadium. 1) Sandro [Tottenham Hotspur – QPR] QPR’s transfer policy can often be questionable, but Sandro’s addition for around £10 million is the best buy of deadline day. The Brazilian has struggled at Spurs of late, but on his day he is a phenomenal. Sandro, at the peak of his powers, was arguably Spurs’ best player and his destructive presence in midfield was so eye-catching even Real Madrid were linked. SEE ALSO: 'He will flourish and explode' - Rio Ferdinand comments on Danny Welbeck's move to Arsenal Since, injuries have thwarted his progress, but a new start may just be all that he needs to kick-on. If he does so, he is one of the finest central-midfielders in the Premier League and he can be a difference maker for QPR.

From squawka www.squawka.com/news/journalist-claims-fabio-borinis-decision-to-stay-at-anfield-is-strange/170818?Liverpool based journalist Pearce claims Fabio Borini’s decision to stay at Anfield is ‘strange’ By Omar HamoudaPosted on September 3, 2014 James Pearce from the Liverpool Echo believes Fabio Borini’s decision to stay at Anfield this summer was a ‘strange’ one, after the Italian opted against a move to Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers. Borini seemed to be on the verge of joining QPR late on deadline day, but the deal fell through as the Hoops and the former Chelsea man failed to agree on wages. Harry Redknapp confirms that Borini’s QPR move fell through because of his wage demands The former Roma man was also on the verge of joining Sunderland earlier on in the transfer window after impressing during his loan spell, but again the parties failed to come to an agreement. Pearce believes it is an awkward situation for Borini, as Brendan Rodgers made it perfectly clear that he was fourth choice at Anfield. Pearce told the Echo: “Liverpool were delighted with the deal with QPR, Borini was given permission to speak but unfortunately his wage demands saw it collapse. “It’s a strange one because Rodgers made it abundantly clear to Borini it was in his best interests to move on as he would be fourth choice.”

I thought it was good news - especially re Vargas
But I thought the way it was phrased "might stop the panickers panicking!" was patronizing, condescending or some other similar-meaning word
It was Redknapp himself I think, who was making "I don't know where Vargas is" type comments

As per my previous posts we should have left out SWP at least and probably Adel in case this sort of opportunity came along. I do not know anything about this player but getting a decent striker at least until January from this sort of opportunity was well worth the risk of only naming 24 or 23 players. Now we are stuck unless there is something in the regulations I am missing.

No one other than Taylor was panicking, we all know the club needed to sign one or two strikers and it didn't happen. It was patronising and yet another example from Mr Taylor that he does not understand QPR fans. We are so used to being let down, we don't panic.

If Ian Taylor's role in the club is official - then his tweet is poor - we care about the club and the way it is run - TF's open running of the club has been a breath of fresh air after the previous regime - just keep us informed Mr Taylor if that is your job...

Thread not quite complete yet! TELEGRAPH Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon determined to rebuild career after refusing deadline-day move to QPR Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon is convinced his future is at White Hart Lane after pulling the plug on a move to QPR on transfer deadline day Aaron Lennon determined to rebuild Tottenham career after refusing deadline-day move to QPR Staying put: Aaron Lennon appeared set to join QPR, but had a late change of heart Photo: GETTY IMAGES By Matt Law 10:30PM BST 05 Sep 2014 CommentsComment Aaron Lennon is convinced he can resurrect his Tottenham Hotspur career after pulling the plug on a move to Queens Park Rangers with just 15 minutes of the transfer window remaining. QPR had agreed a loan move for Lennon with Spurs and were confident the winger would move to Loftus Road. But at around 10.45pm on Monday evening, Lennon decided against the switch, having also snubbed interest from Stoke City earlier in the day. Lennon was left out of the Tottenham squad for the defeat to Liverpool, but still believes he can force his way back into the plans of head coach Mauricio Pochettino. The 27-year-old was named in Pochettino’s 25-man Premier League squad and will reassess his future in January, when QPR could make another offer. QPR will also make a renewed bid to sign former Spurs striker Jermain Defoe in January, but the 31-year-old remains in limbo until then. Defoe returned to England this week and does not want to go back to Toronto. He is frustrated that the Major League Soccer club would not sanction his departure on the final day of the transfer window. Toronto wanted around £7 million for Defoe, but the former England international is looking for an escape route as soon as possible. Leicester also showed a strong interest in him. Defoe has a groin injury that will keep him out until the end of this month and Toronto insist Defoe’s rehabilitation will take place in Canada. www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/11078542/Tottenham-Hotspur-winger-Aaron-Lennon-determined-to-rebuild-career-after-refusing-deadline-day-move-to-QPR.html
