From metro.co.uk metro.co.uk/2014/05/31/arsenal-agree-personal-terms-with-qpr-striker-loic-remy-4746132/?Arsenal ‘agree personal terms with QPR striker Loic Remy’ Arsenal are believed to have agreed terms with QPR striker Loic Remy over a summer move. The French international, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle, was reportedly also a target for Liverpool and Tottenham, while himself this week admitting he would like to join Chelsea. But according to Sky News Radio, Arsenal have beaten Remy’s other suitors to the punch, snapping him up ahead of the World Cup which starts in under two weeks. It is believed the Gunners will have to pay around £10m for the 27-year-old’s services. If today’s reports are correct, Remy could prove to be a useful signing by Arsene Wenger, who is moving unusually quickly this transfer window. Last summer, it took the Arsenal boss until deadline day to bring in record signing Mesut Ozil, but he appears to have learnt his lesson this time around. Remy scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for club and country last season and will provide much-needed support for countryman Olivier Giroud.

From insidefutbol.com AC Milan Let Adel Taarabt Signing Option Elapse and Want Price Reduction from QPR Saturday, 31st May, 2014 AC Milan have not activated their option to buy Adel Taarabt from QPR and are seeking a reduction in the R's asking price for the player. Taarabt joined the Rossoneri in January on loan and wasted no time in impressing at the San Siro, causing Milan to eye keeping him on a permanent basis. QPR have been prepared to sell Taarabt for £4.9m, however Milan want this reduced further and have piled the pressure on the English club by not activating the purchase option in the loan agreement. According to Sport Mediaset, the Rossoneri do not want to pay more than €4m for the attacking midfielder. QPR could now decide to keep hold of Taarabt on account of their promotion back to the Premier League. The player however has made his preference for remaining at Milan clear. ........and from 101greatgoals.com www.101greatgoals.com/blog/sky-sports-radio-report-that-qprs-loic-remy-has-agreed-personal-terms-with-arsenal/?Sky Sports Radio report that QPR’s Loic Remy has agreed personal terms with Arsenal Saturday, May 31st, 2014 Unlike last summer, when Arsenal waited until the final day to get their marquee signing in (Ozil), the Gunners may have already bagged one very useful signing. Sky Sports Radio have reported that QPR’s Loic Remy has agreed personal terms with Arsenal. No fee was or was added in the report, though speculation elsewhere is talking of a fee of around 10 million pounds for the Frenchman. Remy is currently involved with France’s World Cup preparations, so should this be further confirmed, any more developments (medical etc.) will probably have to wait until after the tournament.

From the Daily Star vigo.dailystar-uk.co.uk/sport/football/381591/EXCLUSIVE-Harry-Redknapp-looking-to-lure-Liverpool-s-Glen-Johnson-to-QPREXCLUSIVE: Harry Redknapp looking to lure Liverpool's Glen Johnson to QPR ON HARRY'S SHOPPING LIST: QPR boss Harry Redknapp is looking to sign Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson [GETTY] Johnson, 29, has just a year remaining on his Liverpool deal and has so far failed to agree a new one. That has alerted Rangers boss Harry Redknapp, who had Johnson in his West Ham and Portsmouth teams. Rangers’ policy is to recruit young players for the future and reduce a crippling wage bill. But Redknapp has stressed the importance of experience to cope on their return to the top flight. Johnson is seeking a three-year, £120k-a-week contract but Liverpool are reluctant to sanction that. They could switch Jon Flanagan, 21, to his preferred position on the right and are already in the market for a left-back. The top target for Kop boss Brendan Rodgers for that position is Seville’s £16million-rated Alberto Moreno. BOLSTERING HIS DEFENCE: Harry Redknapp will be keen to increase his defensive options this summer [GETTY] “Johnson, 29, has just a year remaining on his Liverpool deal and has so far failed to agree a new one” Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand will be convinced by Redknapp to join the promoted Londoners. That is the view of former West Ham stalwart Alvin Martin. He reckons Redknapp can pull off the coup after he bossed Ferdinand when he was emerging as a talented young defender at Upton Park. Former England skipper Ferdinand, 35, is a free agent after Manchester United released him following a glittering 12-year spell at Old Trafford. Redknapp is determined to secure the veteran centre-half’s services but faces competition from a clutch of American clubs in the MLS. But Hammers legend Martin said: “I think Rio will want to stay in England. And working with Harry again would be a big pull for him. “Harry is made for Rio. He’s somebody who lets you get on with it and gives you a lift when you need it. “Rio will know that Harry does believe in him.

......also from the Daily Star www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/381577/EXCLUSIVE-Jose-Mourinho-to-chose-either-Remy-Lukaku-or-Bony-to-partner-Costa-at-ChelseaEXCLUSIVE: Jose Mourinho to chose either Remy, Lukaku or Bony to partner Costa at Chelsea JOSE MOURINHO will wait until after the World Cup to choose his second striker at Chelsea next season. By Harry Pratt/Published 1st June 2014 SCOURING THE MARKET: Jose Mourinho is looking to partner either Romelu Lukaku, Wilfried Bony or Loic Remy with Diego Costa at Chelsea next season [GETTY] Swansea’s Ivory Coast hitman Wilfried Bony, QPR’s French ace Loic Remy and the Blues’ own Belgium star Romelu Lukaku are the trio being monitored by the Stamford Bridge boss. Mourinho and Chelsea have already agreed a £35million deal for Atletico Madrid top scorer Diego Costa. But the Special One has yet to decide whether to bring Lukaku, who spent last season on loan at Everton, back into the fold - or find a new forward for his squad. Lukaku and Mourinho clashed this time last year when the Portuguese coach refused to guarantee him regular first-team football at Chelsea. And unless the powerful frontman, 21, has a sensational World Cup with Belgium it seems unlikely that uneasy relationship will be repaired any time soon. REM'S A GEM: QPR striker Loic Remy is a possible target for Mourinho [GETTY] That leaves Bony, who scored 25 goals in his first season with Swansea, or Remy, who rattled in 14 on loan at Newcastle last term, battling to catch Mourinho’s attention in Brazil. Bony, 25, has made no secret of his desire to be playing Champions League football next season and admits a move to Chelsea would be a ‘dream’. But Arsenal are also on the trail of the ex-Vitesse man, 25, and that could well push his asking price to £25million. SUPER WILF: Wilfried Bony could partner Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge next season [GETTY] Chelsea are reluctant to splash that sort of money on a player expected to be no than cover for the prolific Spanish star Costa. Remy, though, has an £8m release clause in his Loftus Road contract and at that price would be considered a bargain. Hoops boss Harry Redknapp has already conceded his club will not be able to keep the ex-Marseille forward, 27, despite winning promotion back into the top flight. Liverpool were also part of the Remy chase but their shock capture of Southampton striker Rickie Lambert means they are no longer interested.

He went on to play for non-league Hednesford Town, before joining Division Two side Stockport County in 2003.[2] Williams later became captain of Stockport, and was still at the club when he made his international debut. In November 2007, Williams won both the inaugural North-West League Two Player of the Year Award and the North-West Player of the Year Award, beating such players as Steven Gerrard, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney to the award.[3][4] Swansea City[edit] In March 2008, Williams signed for Swansea City on loan until the end of the 2007–08 season, with a view to a permanent move.[2] After helping the Swans to clinch the League One title and, with it, promotion to the second tier of English football for the first time in 24 years, the move was made permanent for a reported £400,000 – a club record transfer fee at the time.[5] On 16 September 2008, Williams scored his first Swansea goal in a 1–1 draw against Derby County.[6] The defender impressed during his first season at Championship level, eventually going on to be named the 'Wales Footballer of the Year' at an FAW awards dinner in November 2009. Williams also picked up the 'Clubman of the Year' award at the same event.[7] After finishing in a respectable 8th position during their first Championship campaign, Swansea improved on their position by one place the following season, although endured the heartbreak of missing out on a play-off position by a single point.[8] Williams was at the heart of a defence that conceded only 37 goals during that campaign, and was selected in the 2009–10 Championship PFA Team of the Year at the end of the season. The 2010–11 season was a success for both Swansea and Williams, with the Swans gaining promotion to the Premier League via a play-off final win at Wembley and Williams named in the Championship PFA Team of the Year for the second consecutive season. The season also saw Williams equal and surpass a club record of 106 consecutive matches, previously jointly held by Andy Legg and Gilbert Beech.[9] Life in the Premier League began with a 4–0 loss at eventual Champions Manchester City. However, Swansea's form quickly improved, and the club finished the season in 11th place. On 24 September 2011, Williams scored his first ever Premier League goal in a 4–1 loss at Chelsea, after heading in a Mark Gower free kick.[10] Williams playing for Swansea City in 2011 In October 2012, Williams signed a new three-year contract with Swansea.[11] The club's second season in the Premier League saw a 9th-placed finish and a first piece of major silverware for Williams and the Swans, following a 5–0 win over Bradford City in the 2013 League Cup final on 24 February 2013. After captaining the team during the final at Wembley, Williams lifted the trophy with club captain Garry Monk, who had come on as a second half substitute. In July 2013, after wearing the armband for the majority of the Swans' games during the previous two seasons, Williams was handed the club captaincy on a permanent basis by Garry Monk, who stepped down as captain after 7 years.[12] International career[edit] Williams made his international debut for Wales national football team on 26 March 2008,[13] two days before securing his move to Swansea City. He captained his country for the first time on 14 November 2009, in a 3–0 friendly win over Scotland in Cardiff,[14] and scored his first international goal in a 5–1 friendly win over Luxembourg in Llanelli on 11 October 2010. In October 2012, Williams was appointed captain of Wales by Chris Coleman, replacing Aaron Ramsey.[15] Personal life[edit] In December 2010, Williams established the charity WillsWorld with his wife Vanessa, with a view to help under-privileged children. He is also a patron of the Ethan Perkins Trust, which raises funds for research, support and awareness into childhood brain tumours.[16] Williams was a boyhood fan of Liverpool F.C.[17]

Hull eyeing Michael Dawson along with three other clubs looking for his signature Jun 01, 2014 11:44 By Steve Bates The Spurs club captain could be made available by new manager Mauricio Pochettino and Tigers boss Bruce is one of four managers ready to pounce Wanted: Four teams are eyeing Michael Dawson over a summer move. But he faces a fight for Dawson - with West Ham, Crystal Palace and newly-promoted QPR also interested.Bruce, who took Hull into the Europa League after reaching last month's FA Cup Final, must boost his squad to cope with the demands of Premier League and European football next season. His first priority is to secure a permanent move for 24-year-old midfielder Livermore, who spent last season on loan at the KC Stadium. Adam Lallana to be lured to Tottenham with Pochettino offering Andros Townsend as incentive May 31, 2014 22:30 By Dave Kidd Mauricio Pochettino has an excellent relationship with Adam Lallana and hopes a cash-plus-player switch to White Hart Lane is on the cards Tottenham will offer Andros Townsend to Southampton in a bid to hijack Adam Lallana's move to Liverpool. New Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has an excellent relationship with England forward Lallana and the White Hart Lane club believe they have a chance of capturing the player. Townsend, missing the World Cup because of an ankle injury, is surplus to requirements at Spurs and will be offered as bait to persuade Southampton to do business with them. Pochettino has been charged with reviving the fortunes of his fellow Argentinian Erik Lamela, who, like Townsend is a left-footed player who prefers to play on the right wing. So Townsend, 22, is now up for grabs, with QPR and Newcastle also showing interest in the player.Liverpool had a £20million bid rejected for the 26-year-old Lallana but are willing to raise their offer to £25m, with the player keen on the move to Anfield. Kop boss Brendan Rodgers has completed the signing of Southampton striker Rickie Lambert and is desperate to add a second Saints star in Lallana. The fact that Bournemouth are entitled to 25 per cent of any sell-on fee for Lallana, after Saints took him off the books of their south coast neighbours as a schoolboy, means that the St Mary's club are demanding top dollar. Pochettino played a key role in Lallana's emergence as an England player and the pair enjoy a close bond of trust. And Townsend, who played a key role in England's World Cup qualification, would be an attractive option for Saints in a proposed player-plus-cash deal. Spurs are also ready to off-load Nacer Chadli, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lewis Holtby and Michael Dawson this summer. Hugo Lloris and Roberto Soldado both likely to go for major transfer fees, while the futures of Jan Vertonghen, Etiene Capoue and Paulinho are all up in the air. So Pochettino will have cash to spend and is keen on Lallana as well as Southampton centre-back Dejan Lovren. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/adam-lallana-lured-tottenham-pochettino-3631059#ixzz33OQlbsgx Follow us: @dailymirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook

Tottenham target Steven Caulker transfer as Cardiff City look to reduce growing debts May 31, 2014 22:30 By Steve Stammers Caulker was sold to the Welsh club for £9million last summer but the Welsh club are reported to be in debt after Premier League relegation Steven Caulker could be making a shock return to White Hart Lane. The central defender was sold to Cardiff for £9million last July, but after relegation the Welsh club are reported to be £160m in debt and have still to pay part of the fee for the 22-year-old. Tottenham have the option of taking Caulker back to save Cardiff paying any more, while Liverpool are also keen on him. The issue will be discussed by director of football Franco Baldini and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino. A Tottenham clear-out under the new boss is already underway. From fans network Planet Swans www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/35179/?QPR? Don't Make Me Laugh Sunday, 1st Jun 2014 21:13 Ashley Williams is having a medical at QPR. Well, at least that is what today's Sun would like you to believe after they reported that the Swans captain was closing in on a move to the newly promoted side just a week after their Wembley triumph. I will go as far as to say now that this will never happen. I have no source, I have no inside information but think about it logically and ask yourself why Ash would go to a side that is almost certainly going to struggle towards the bottom end of the league table and a side which is well known for just throwing money at a sinking ship on as many occasions as they see fit. Two bad games at QPR and he would be benched quicker than you could say 'This was a bad mistake Ash' - Rob Green suffered that fate in the Premier League after we put five past him on the opening day and he almost had to wait until the inevitable relegation until he gained his place back in the side. Skip advertisement There will always be interest in Ash again this summer but there is no way that he will chase the buck that QPR will offer nor will they offer a sum much greater than Ash can get from the Swans where it is rumoured that he would like to sign an extension to his deal. Ash has one year left on his Swans contract and we understand that he would like to extend that deal with a view to finishing his career at a club that took him from Stockport when they were back in League One. At a club that has seen him become one of the most regular features on any team sheet in the country and also to captain of both club and country. And I firmly believe that the club will look to strike a deal with Ash so long as his wage demands sit within the strict budgets that we work with at the Liberty Stadium. Reports in Metro last week stated that Arsenal were also interested in a move for Williams at a £3m transfer fee and if that is the approximate value for someone of Ash's age with a year left on his contract then you have to think that the Swans should be doing everything they can to keep hold of their man as it would cost significantly more to replace the most experienced part of their defence. But until they manage to do that then we can expect to see some more paper reports linking Ash with various moves but ones like QPR surely cannot have any truth in them other than people just joining the dots and getting the wrong picture as a result of it. Where do I think Ash will be when the season starts? I am going to stick my neck out and say Swansea City with a new three year contract under his captain's armband. Time will tell if I am right

Ravel Morrison is ready to quit West Ham this summer, according to reports from the Daily Mail. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder left the Hammers in January to make a shock loan move to QPR, where he starred in their run to promotion. But despite his success over the latter half of 2013/14, Morrison is rumoured to be annoyed with his treatment. The once-trouble starlet feels that had been kept at Upton Park then he may have had a genuine chance of making England’s Word Cup squad. Youngsters such as Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley were named in Roy Hodgson’s 23-man set-up, with their recent displays having been a major reason for that. Morrison had been impressive under Sam Allardyce up until the winter period, with one of his more notable displays coming against Tottenham at White Hart Lane – a game the Irons won. However the former Manchester United trainee was out of the spotlight in the Championship, and duly slid out of the reckoning. QPR are believed to be keen to keep him at Loftus Road after being wowed by his performances, while there has even been tentative talk of interest from Manchester City, who are known to be in need of home grown players to fill UEFA’s quote for next season’s Champions League. www.footballfancast.com/premiership/west-ham/west-ham-ace-ready-to-leave?
