From the Daily Mail. If true I think he's undervalued. Arsenal and Liverpool target Loic Remy can leave for £8m, says QPR boss Harry Redknapp By DAVID KENT PUBLISHED: 07:47 AEST, 26 May 2014 | UPDATED: 07:47 AEST, 26 May 2014 Harry Redknapp has revealed that QPR striker Loic Remy is available for around £8million. Arsenal and Liverpool are both monitoring the French international's situation as his season-long at Newcastle comes to an end. Remy signed for QPR from Marseille for £8million in January 2013 on a four-and-a-half year deal but his six goals were not enough to keep them up. The 27-year-old netted a further 14 Premier League goals in 26 appearances for Newcastle last season, sparking interest from Arsenal and Liverpool among others. QPR returned to the top flight on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Derby in the SkyBet Championship play-off final but Redknapp does not expect to be able to call on Remy's services next season. 'I don't see (Loic) Remy wanting to come back and play,' said Redknapp. 'He's talking about playing Champions League somewhere. I trust Redknapp re signing players (although we seem to have done ok not signing some of the players he wanted to sign last summer)
I have nothing Lampard or Rio Ferdinand....Certainly no problem at all signing Chelsea players (John Terry being an exception)
One or two "experienced" players...If they're still able and willing for the Prem...But not a slew...We can't keep bringing in old players
And then very significantly But the wages are surely massive...
Remember "Lessons Learned"

Interesting article about Chelsea trying to resign him but wanting him to take a pay cut on his £150K pw salary...clearly didn't work out so what would a 36 yr old part-time player want pw...atleast £50K? www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/frank-lampard-future-chelsea-want-lampard-to-take-paycut-as-talks-hit-reported-stumbling-block-with-midfielder-out-of-contract-this-summer-9385175.htmlFrank Lampard could face the possibility of a Chelsea exit this summer after talks hit a stumbling block over a contract extension, with the club reportedly demanding that the England midfielder take a pay cut in order to remain at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho has made it clear this week that he would like Lampard to remain a part of his team as he structures a Premier League-winning side for next season, but it is said that the wage offered to the midfielder is out of his control. Having given his end of season report to the Chelsea board on Monday, Mourinho also explained his vision for the summer, where it is thought he asked for Lampard to be retained for more than a single season. The plan is for Lampard, who will turn 36 during the World Cup on 20 June, to become part of the Blues’ coaching staff, much like what has happened in recent years with Manchester United and their famed ‘Class of 92’. Lampard will likely be England's vice-captain in Brazil Lampard will likely be England's vice-captain in Brazil However, any deal hinges on Lampard taking a cut in his current £150,000-a-week salary, otherwise he will be on the lookout for a new club for next season.

Steven Taylor understood to be on the radar of newly promoted Queens Park Rangers again May 26, 2014 08:46 By Lee Ryder 0 Comments Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has two years left to run on current contract and is valued at around £5million Queens Park Rangers could turn to Steven Taylor to add some Premier League experience to their squad after winning back their top flight status over the weekend with a 1-0 win over Derby County. However, the Loftus Road club would have to come back with a bigger fee than the £2million price tag that was mooted in December. QPR are keen to bolster their defensive ranks after securing their top-flight return at Wembley. But the Londoners have insisted they won’t repeat the same mistakes in the transfer market as last time around, when owner Tony Fernandes splashed out on the likes of Loic Remy, Chris Samba and Junior Hoilett only to crash into the Championship. And although United will listen to bids around Taylor’s market value of around £5million, the Whitley Bay lad would represent better value for the R’s. Taylor – who has two years left on his contract – would be more than happy to stay on Tyneside if he was assured first team football. He was announced on the club’s retained list last week and will be expected back in training in early July. But he sat out on the sidelines for much of last season with Mike Williamson very much first choice alongside Fabricio Coloccini. United, though, could offload Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. French reports have linked him with a move back to Ligue 1 with Lille and were they to cough up around £6m, the Magpies will almost certainly take it. www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/steven-taylor-understood-radar-newly-7171703?

Neil Warnock insists Rio Ferdinand's proposed move to Queens Park Rangers is not motivated by money. The ex-Manchester United defender has been linked with a transfer to Loftus Road, along with former West Ham team-mates Joe Cole and Frank Lampard. And Warnock admits he’d love to see the 35-year-old in action for the Rs and claims the centre-back still has plenty left in the tank. “Rio would be a super signing for QPR,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “They need someone of that class. He’s still got a few things to prove. “He’s not in peak condition and couldn’t get into the top five or six clubs in the Premier League. If you pick any of the other clubs though, you can’t tell me he’s not better than most of the centre-backs in the bottom half of the league. “He’s got the hunger to play on. He’s not decided to go to America to pick up the money. “I’ve always said to him QPR would be a good club [for him]. He wouldn’t mind going back to London, there’s a lot going for the club at the moment.” Read more at talksport.com/football/exclusive-warnock-ferdinands-proposed-qpr-move-not-motivated-money-14052692847#6TOYXjqX56OS4msA.99

More speculation on 101greatgoals.com quoting the Sun www.101greatgoals.com/blog/qpr-look-to-sign-chelsea-man-united-legends-frank-lampard-and-rio-ferdinand-sun/?QPR look to sign Chelsea & Man United legends Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand [Sun] Sunday, May 25th, 2014 QPR were yesterday promoted to the Premier League in dramatic circumstances, beating Derby 1-0 thanks to a dramatic Bobby Zamora stoppage time winner. They’re already looking to improve their squad and will reportedly swoop for English Manchester United and Chelsea stars Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard. Nephew of QPR manager Harry Redknapp, it appears Chelsea aren’t going to offer club legend Frank Lampard a new contract. Rio Ferdinand is in a similar position at Old Trafford, having spent 12 successful years at Manchester United. It's hard to take these reports seriously when they can't even get the stone cold facts right. That said, I could accept Ferdinand & Lampard coming as their combined experience could prove invaluable but it would need to be balanced out with a couple of youner signings as well.

If they played for 10k a week (which still is a lot of money!), I'd welcome both of them...
But we can't end up this season LOSING another 50 million or more

But we can't end up this season LOSING another 50 million or more I agree that they shouldn't be paid excessive wages and I genuinely don't think they would although that wouldn't stop the press reporting whatever numbers they want to and it wouldn't stop people believing them. As for £10 a week. Well, to you and me Mac, that is a lot of money but you won't get any current premier league player to play for it.

Seriously? Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand, both 35, in talks over QPR transfers Jamie Sanderson Monday 26 May 2014 9:17 am QPR to sign Lampard & Ferdinand. Seriously. Harry Redknapp… already working on transfers (Picture: Getty) QPR want to turn to experience after winning promotion back to the Premier League, with stalwarts Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand in talks over moves to Loftus Road. Rangers sealed their return to the top flight with a 1-0 play-off final win over Derby County on Saturday, and Harry Redknapp wants to begin work strengthening his squad straight away. He reportedly wants to add up to six new faces, but experience is key – and that’s why he’s turned to Lampard and Ferdinand. Redknapp has worked with the duo before at West Ham and with both out of contract with Chelsea and Manchester United respectively, they are available for no transfer fee. Lampard is being offered a one-year contract with the option of another 12 months after, while Ferdinand could get a deal until January – when he would then be free to move to the MLS, if he wishes. The pair are not expected to give an answer on the moves for a few weeks, with a host of other clubs likely to make offers. metro.co.uk/2014/05/26/seriously-frank-lampard-and-rio-ferdinand-both-35-in-talks-over-qpr-transfers-4739986/

Here's a blast from the past but at least a new rumour and for a younger player than the same old 'everyone over the age of 30 who used to play for 'Arry BS. Former Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne could join Sunderland after three-year spell in Germany May 25, 2014 22:30 By Darren Witcoop The Blues academy product is a target for Stoke, Swansea, QPR and Fulham, but Sunderland are leading the race. Sunderland are leading the chase to bring Michael Mancienne back to England. Mancienne, 26, wants to head home after a three-year stint in Germany with Hamburg. And the Black Cats are the front-runners ahead of Stoke, Swansea, QPR and Championship-bound Fulham to seal a bargain £1million deal. Sunderland’s sporting director Lee Congerton plans on being reunited with Mancienne and has recommended the versatile defender to boss Gus Poyet. The pair worked together with Chelsea’s youth team before Mancienne moved to Hamburg. Sunderland are chasing new defenders after Phil Bardsley joined Stoke and Carlos Cuellar, Mo Diakite and Valentin Roberge were axed. I think Ian's Wright Dad reveals future for QPR's Wright-Phillips May 26, 2014 12:17 By Paul Warburton 0 Comments Over and out after three years for son, predicts Ian Wright Out: Shaun Wright-Phillips His dad reckons Shaun Wright-Phillips will quit QPR whether or not he’s offered a new contract. The 32-year-old was a forgotten figure as his team-mates cavorted around in celebration at Wembley on Saturday after victory against Derby in the Championship play-off final. The 32-year-old made just an unlucky 13 appearances last term and will now look for a new club, according to England legend Ian Wright. The midfielder-cum-winger joined Rangers in August 2011 for a reported £3.5 million, and for one reason or another never managed to establish himself in the team for a prolonged spell. Wright thinks he knows why. “It’s not been for the want of trying,” he said. “When the fans are wanting something from a player of his calibre and it doesn’t quite work out - you can understand his frustration. “Of course, he’d love to be playing more, but when his confidence is low he tries a bit too hard - and that’s his only crime. “Sometimes it just doesn’t work out, and he’s tried his best. "For a player of his Premier League experience not to figure says the writing’s on the wall, but he’s got a career he can be very proud of.” Wright-Phillips is one of a number of players set to leave, with Luke Young, Aaron Hughes, Yossi Benayoun, and Andrew Johnson most at risk. All loan players will return to their clubs, and the future is uncertain for out-of-contract Gary O’Neil, Armand Traore and Bobby Zamora - despite his last-minute winning goal against the Rams. www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/dad-reveals-future-qprs-wright-phillips-7172513?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Oh FFS!!! www.footballdirectnews.com/premier-league-news/50310-qpr-eye-city-striker.phpQueens Park Rangers are lining up an ambitious bid for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, [football] direct news understands.
A source close to Loftus Road told FDN the Bosnia international has been identified as a key summer transfer window acquisition, and the man to fire Harry Redknapp’s side to top-flight safety in the 2014-15 campaign.
Redknapp saw his team overcome the odds to beat Derby County in the Championship play-off final at Wembley on Saturday, having had Gary O’Neil sent off with half-an-hour of the contest remaining.
Bobby Zamora’s last-minute goal handed QPR a 1-0 win and ensured they returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
The club insider revealed several new signings are likely to be made, not least because a number of out-of-contract players will leave in the coming weeks, and Dzeko is at the top of the wishlist. ADVERTISEMENT
The Blues hitman has only 12 months remaining on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium and is yet to pen an extension.
He scored 26 goals in all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, helping City to the Premier League title and League Cup glory.
QPR may have to wait until Bosnia’s World Cup campaign comes to an end before attempting to secure the forward’s services.

From footballdirectnews.com www.footballdirectnews.com/premier-league-news/50316-united-midfielder-could-head-for-exit.phpQueens Park Rangers are considering a raid on Manchester United for out-of-favour midfielder Tom Cleverley, [football] direct news understands. A source close to Loftus Road told FDN the England international is high on the list of summer transfer window targets who can now be pursued following QPR’s promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Harry Redknapp’s team edged out Derby County 1-0 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley on Saturday despite playing for the last 30 minutes of the contest with 10 men, following Gary O’Neil’s dismissal. Bobby Zamora’s 90th-minute strike ensured the London outfit returned to the top flight at the first time of asking and are now able to pursue the more high-profile names they identified when compiling a list of names to chase. The club insider revealed QPR are quietly confident that Cleverley’s fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford means he could be interested in embarking on a fresh challenge, with the promise of regular first-team football. Cleverley’s contract with the Red Devils comes to an end upon the conclusion of the 2014-15 campaign and his lack of playing time at United also saw the 24-year-old lose his place in the England side.

Harry Redknapp and QPR set to enter era of calm by targeting Scott Parker and free agents Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand Tony Fernandes has 'learned lessons' from last time in Premier League The club are set to dispense with high basic contracts Loic Remy, Esteban Granero and Adel Taarabt could all be sold QPR could end up targeting on-loan Ravel Morrison By SAMI MOKBEL PUBLISHED: 16:09, 26 May 2014 | UPDATED: 16:15, 26 May 2014 Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. It's a saying that'll be ringing in Queens Park Rangers co-owner Tony Fernandes' ears all summer. The multi-millionaire businessman is due to head into a strategy meeting this week as the club starts preparing for their return to the top-flight. The futures of their current players will be top of the agenda, but their summer recruitment policy will not be far behind. But anyone expecting another money-going-out-of-fashion style spending spree at Loftus Road are likely to be disappointed. Fernandes claims he is wiser after having his fingers burnt during the club's previous Premier League tenure. High transfer fees and high wages spent on the likes of Loic Remy, Park Ji-sung, Julio Cesar and Chris Samba did not work out as planned. Not only that, it has left the club facing a staggering £50million fine for breaching Football League Financial Fair Play regulations. The prospect of such hefty punishment alone will ensure the club are more prudent this summer. Indeed, sources at Rangers insist the club are keen to stress the days of extravagant spending on high-profile stars are over. The way player contracts are structured is under review, with the club keen to move away from paying high basic salaries; instead moving towards incentive-based deals. QPR officials feel that will help them avoid players who are intent on using Fernandes' riches as a vehicle to earn a quick quid. Such an approach is likely to prove problematic when trying to attract top-level stars to Loftus Road this summer but it is an approach the club are willing to take to ensure they do not sign players who only want a ride on the money train. Quality costs nothing: Ferdinand (left) and Joe Cole (right) have both been linked with free transfers to QPR Manager Harry Redknapp knows he'll need to add some Premier League know-how to his ranks this summer. Fulham midfielder Scott Parker is on Redknapp's radar and out-of-contract stars Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand could also be targeted. At first glance, QPR would be falling into the same old traps by targeting those three former England players. But the trio have worked under Redknapp before; developing close relationships with the 67-year-old in the process. Rangers are also considering turning Ravel Morrison's loan deal permanent ahead of next season. Despite not featuring at Wembley on Saturday, there's a willingness to complete a full-time move for the 21-year-old midfielder, who has 12 months left on his West Ham contract. Morrison fits the profile of player Rangers would prefer to target this summer: young, talented and with something to prove. Before pressing ahead with those moves, Redknapp must decide on which players he wants to keep at the club. Big-earners such as Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jermaine Jenas, Bobby Zamora, Stephane Mbia and Andy Johnson are all out of contract this summer. Likewise, players like Remy, Esteban Granero and Adel Taarabt are all due to return to Loftus Road following loan spells away. Remy is set to leave this summer, while Granero and Taarabt are unlikely to feature in Redknapp's plans for next season. There are plenty of questions. We're about to find out the answers. Think this signing might be more our level than world class strikers like Edin Dzeko! Especially when you consider we play one up front and really only need a back-up striker than a front man to pair with Austin. Tuesday, 27 May 2014 Will QPR make a late raid for Lewis Grabban? Harry Redknapp will have been delighted to get QPR promoted last weekend but he knows that the squad needs rejuvenating for a season. Now that the club is up, Harry will be keen to stay and have another crack at the Premiership and perhaps with some younger players in his squad. Bobby Zamora may have got QPR promotion but will he be replaced? As everyone knows, your strikers have to be scoring and Harry was already ruing the fact that he had not snapped up Lewis Grabban back in January. That decision back fired when Charlie Austin was injured and Lewis Grabban signed a new contract with the Cherries having turned down Brighton's offer. Even worse Grabban scored against QPR at Dean Court, which only confirmed Harry's views on the potential of the Cherries' striker. Lewis Grabban has lots of admirers. There is a sticking point though. Cardiff have already had a bid accepted by AFC Bournemouth. But will Lewis turn down Cardiff in order to have the chance to play in the Premiership with QPR? It seems a reasonable decision for him to make as I believe his family is still living in London. There has been no news on Lewis Grabban talking with Cardiff yet and there has been murmurs of Frederico Macheda possibly being a target for Cardiff City. Derby County and Middlesbrough are also interested in Grabban, but with the Premiership being dangled in front of a player, it will be hard for him to resist an approach by QPR. I am not sure if Eddie Howe has resigned himself to losing Lewis Grabban having seen his price being met, but this transfer saga might have quite a way to run yet. Harry Redknapp is known as a wheeler dealer and perhaps this would underline that he still can get the players he wants. QPR can't afford too spend to big, but Grabban might just fit their wage bills better than most and Harry's links with Bournemouth just may help him get his man if Grabban is a player he still wants. And more old rumours get rehashed... May 27, 2014 9:59 am West Brom linked with Spanish strikers Strikers Jonas Goncalves and Joselu were today linked with summer moves to Albion as QPR considered a fresh bid for Baggies defender Jonas Olsson. Albion, who hope to narrow down their search for a new head coach to a final three by the end of the week, are lining up potential new recruits after beginning a summer clearout by shedding 10 players from their under-performing squad. And eight-time Brazil international Jonas, who looks set to leave Valencia this summer, and German-based Spaniard Joselu, who is currently with Hoffenheim, have been mentioned as potential targets. But the Baggies are also braced for possible fresh interest in Olsson, with QPR’s promotion back to the Premier League triggering ambitious plans from Loftus Road boss Harry Redknapp to re-mould his Championship play-off winning side. www.expressandstar.com/sport/west-bromwich-albion-fc/2014/05/27/west-brom-linked-with-spanish-strikers/?

Veteran Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is said to be pondering moving to London rivals Queens Park Rangers next season, according to exclusive reports in the Daily Star. SEE ALSO: The best managers in world football The England international’s current deal with the west London club runs out at the end of June and so far Lampard has yet to come to any sort of agreement with Chelsea about extending his 13-year stay at Stamford Bridge into next season. Lampard, 35, is believed to be demanding a 12-month extension to his present deal with the Blues, however, the club’s billionaire Russian owner Roman Abramovich is also understood to be reluctant to offer a new contract to a player of Lampard’s age. And as a result, that impasse may now open the door for QPR head coach Harry Redknapp to make his own move for Lampard, who also happens to be his uncle, with the former West Ham United, Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur manager said to want to utilise the experienced star in a deep-lying holding midfield role at Loftus Road next season.

Transfer news: QPR boss Harry Redknapp rules out Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand Last Updated: 27/05/14 6:38pm 0
Harry Redknapp: QPR boss has ruled out moves for Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand
QPR manager Harry Redknapp has told Sky Sports News the club has "no chance" of signing Frank Lampard or Rio Ferdinand.
Both players have been heavily linked with a move to Loftus Road with their respective contracts at Chelsea and Manchester United expiring this summer.
But Redknapp, speaking on Tuesday at the launch of QPR's new kit, said: "I would think there's absolutely no chance of getting Frank. He's at Chelsea.
"I'd be very surprised if Chelsea don't keep him anyway - he's just been such a fantastic player.
"Rio's now a free agent but I'm sure he's going to have so many offers.
"Again, I love Rio, I signed them both as 15-year-olds but the chances of getting them to QPR are very slim."
Ferdinand was once the world's costliest defender when he moved from Leeds to Manchester United in 2002 for £30m, but is now available on a free transfer after his Old Trafford career came to an end.
Ferdinand and Lampard: Available this summer Lampard joined Chelsea for £11m in 2001 from West Ham, the club Redknapp brought him and Ferdinand to as teenagers.
The QPR boss also admitted it would be difficult to keep Loic Remy at the club.
"Loic has done well at Newcastle," he said. "It would be difficult to get him back here. I think he's looking to play Champions League next year somewhere.
"He's had a great season at Newcastle - he's certainly worth much more than we paid for him when we brought him here."

It's been 3 days and we've already been linked to:
Dzeko, Ferdinand, Lampard, Cole, Taylor, Olsson, Cleverly and Grabban by September 1st this list will be as many as 50 names and no doubt we will sign not even 10% of those.
As nomar rightly says lets not react to every rumour. It's great reading about them but dismissing whether a player is coming/good enough/worth the money etc is pointless given how many players we will be linked to and how little we actually know (i.e. salary).
The silly season has well and truly begun.
