As you know, I live in Ipswich so the matched with them are the ones I gain most enjoyment or despair from!
Personally, I regard all of the classics betweeen us as having been played at Portmsn Road:-
1968 - I couldn't get a ticket for the game but hoe I envy the 5000 lucky enough to be there so see Micky Leach equalise in the last minute.
1883 - I saw my first Rangers win at Ipswich! Not only did we win, we totally outclassed them & two weeks later completed the East Anglian double at Norwich. In my view that side under Venables was only bettered by the Jago/Sexton sides from 73-76
2010 - Kyle Walker's debut in a 3-0 win. Once again we were a different class to them.
I also really enjoyed the 4-1 win under Gerry Francis, but that wasn't a classic. We had about five attacks in the whole game but the result made me laugh.
Three points this saturday would be rather nice!

Viljoen from Ipswich, he joined us for a very short length of time. One of the first if not the first South African to play in England.

Add John Wark, Eric Gates, Roger Osborne and of course in goal was Paul Cooper. It really was an excellent squad that played some awesome football under Robson.
