Ben Haim is the worst defender I've ever seen. I thought that he'd found his feet in League One tbh. Rather having Ramage and Delaney back, even Borrowdale!

MLS defender of the year is a bit like being SPL defender of the year though.
I imagine he'd be on a par with Cameron of Stoke, which would be about our level, so I don't think he would be an unrealistic target.

Mail football shorts.
Aston Villa want £18 million for out of favour striker Darren Bent, two years after signing him for £24 million from Sunderland
Forget about him then!!! Not even worth attempting to make an offer!

Until Guillem says anything to me of these possibilities, I will treat them with a large pinch of salt. Although I'll wager the pirate would jump at a move back to Madrid.

The Screamer, talk of football. SPORTING KANSAS defender Matt Besler will train with QPR.Sporting KC defender Matt Besler has been offered a trial by Barclay's Premier League club Queen's Park Rangers, along with two other clubs. The bright lights of Europe are starting to shine onto Matt Besler. Sporting Kansas City defender Matt Besler, who recently won the 2012 MLS Defender of the Year award, has reportedly been offered a trial by Barclay's Premier League side Queens Park Rangers, Npower Football League Championship club Birmingham City, and an unnamed club in Belgium. It would be difficult for Besler to get a deal in England because of their difficult work permit process, but Besler is currently out of contract right now with Sporting KC. There has been no word on whether Besler will take the offer. Queens Park Rangers are currently in last place in the BPL and have yet to win a match. Birmingham City is sitting in 19th out of 24th place in the Football League Championship. www.thedailywiz.com/2012/12/6/3735600/besler-offered-trial-by-qpr?

Bent will go for considerably less than £18m, I think. I imagine it will be about £10-12m plus incremental rises.
Plus, every game Lambert leaves him on the bench hurts his sell on value.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! BRAMBLE!!!! DO ME A LEMON FFS!!!! Should have looked at this before asking kenthoop if he was listening to a drunken nutter.
Actually, reading the article, Redknapp does not mention wanting Bramble at all. Also the Keane quote was in reply to a question from Gary Cottrill.
Keane would not surprise me even though I don't rate him.
Bramble is simply shit, might as well save money and play Ferdinand.

Sell Granero to some Spanish club in January and use that money on either Dawson or a goalscorer.

Bramble is such a hit and miss defender...we have more than enough of those already thanks, hes no better than hill, and hill is VERY hit and miss.
Robbie Keane would probably do a job though.

From Tribalfootball
QPR working on loan deal for Shanghai Shenhua striker Anelka
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Tue, 12/11/2012 - 11:23
QPR are working on bringing Nicolas Anelka back to London.
The Mirror says Harry Redknapp has made an enquiry into the availability of much-travelled France striker Anelka.
The 33-year-old, whose list of previous clubs includes Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid, only moved to Shanghai Shenhua from Stamford Bridge last January but could be ready to quit China.
Newly-appointed QPR boss Redknapp is desperate to strengthen his strike-force for the six-month relegation battle facing the Premier League's winless bottom club and has drawn up a list which includes Anelka.
The Frenchman is now player/assistant boss at Shenhua but QPR believe he may be ready to move back to Europe.
