Yes, some great performances from the fringe players and I though Fabio was excellent.

Well I won't ask you. I don't like the thin hoops because I don't like them. Nothing to do with jumping on the band wagon. Hehe, fair enough. You won't ask me but at least you answered. I still think people have over reacted over the "thin hoops" issue... Historically we have used thin and thick hoops... Don't understand all the slating this kit has took. Just down to a matter of taste really. I know historically we have also had thin hoops. But didn't like them either. I was thinking of treating myself to a top this season and instead if the new tops found myself drawn towards the 80's Guiness tops.

I thought SWP was his usual self really, continually running in circles and always giving the ball away. Substitute, at best.

SWP, Taarabt and Diakité look very lively so far. The shirt looks very good for such thin hoops. I like the thin hoops. Don't understand why people don't like them... They're still hoops! Just jumping on the bandwagon if you ask me. Without repeating...But no! 3 or 4 thick hoops

In all honesty, this is the sort of opposition SWP needs to play against every week to have a half decent game

Had posted a long paragraph on it, but there is a sleight of hand artist on the board legerdemain-
who is scrubing posts. Maybe a gang!1 Still everyone has their needs to be "creative"
Cisse will return from injury in 'a week to 10 days', says QPR boss Hughes The 30-year-old, who scored six goals last season, came off in the 5-0 pre-season win over Kelantan with a hamstring injury, but his manager says he will return soon

From the offish - uh, great: Andy Johnson believes the togetherness which already exists in the QPR squad could lead to a "great season" for the Club. The striker, who joined the R's from Fulham last month, told http://www.qpr.co.uk: "I have settled in brilliantly. "The new signings are fantastic, and go well with the great players that are already here. The squad have made the likes of myself, Ji-Sung Park, Rob Green, Fabio and all the new lads feel very welcome. "It feels like a great squad. There is a great togetherness already and an excellent atmosphere around the place. I think it is going to be a great season for QPR." Rangers followed up on their 5-0 win against a Sabah Select XI on Tuesday evening with another 5-0 triumph last night, this time defeating Kelantan in Kuala Lumpur. Local fans here expected a close match and while it was competitive, the movement and passing style of the R's made it very difficult for the Malaysian champions to contain Mark Hughes's side. Johnson added: "I thought we kept the ball well today whereas in the first game we lost it a lot and were chasing our tails a little bit. We created some good chances and it was a great victory for us. "It was important to get some more game time under my belt. I don't think the plan was for me to play as long as I did, but with Djibril Cisse having to come off early it meant I had a longer spell out there. "It's really important for me to get that time on the pitch because we've all had eight weeks off, and I didn't play the last four or five weeks of last season because of my situation with contracts and stuff, so I am delighted to be getting back out there again. "Now I just need to get the first goal under my belt and then I can kick on from there." Despite the lateness of the fixture - it kicked off at 9.15pm local time - the heat was still searing, and the hard-working Johnson admitted he has never experienced a temperature quite like it. "It's very hot here," said the 31 year-old. "I have played all over the world but I have never played in heat like that before. It's the same with the rest of the boys." Rangers played in front of more than 31,000 supporters at the Shah Alam Stadium, and Johnson added: "It's been a great experience so far. "The people out here are fanatical about their football , and it is great for us to come out here and see this part of the world. "Doing bits and pieces off the pitch has been fantastic for us too. We all know the Chairman works very hard and we know what he brings to the Club, so it is nice for us to be able to give something back to him." www.qpr.co.uk/page/AsiaTour/0,,10373~2855837,00.html

HARRIMAN ON CLOUD NINEMichael Harriman was on cloud nine after notching his maiden First Team goal in QPR's 5-0 rout of Kelantan last night (Friday). The 19 year-old full-back - a product of our youth set-up - received Adel Taarabt's pass before cutting in from the right to slam home an effort in the 53rd minute, despite a touch from the goalkeeper. Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk moments after the final whistle, Harriman told us: "It felt amazing, to be honest. "I feel lucky just to be here, but to get the goal is even better. "The keeper got a hand to it but they all count. "The lads have been full of praise and I'll remember that moment for a long time." He continued: "We played very well in tough conditions, against a good side. "They are champions of their league and it was a good performance from the lads." The match saw the young defender complete 45 minutes for a second consecutive time, after also featuring in the R's Asia Tour opener against a Sabah Select XI. And Harriman added: "It's a good experience for me to come out here. "It gives me the chance to show what I can do. Hopefully that goal does help me and I can push on now. "It's been an amazing tour. The lads have been great. "The reception we've got everywhere we've been has been first class. "I didn't know what to expect, but it's been a fantastic experience." www.qpr.co.uk/page/AsiaTour/0,,10373~2855840,00.html

The tour will be great experience for Harriman but I still expect him to not make the 25 and go out on loan

With people like Harriman and Doughty they won't take up a space on the 25 due to their age, but I agree that they will probably sent out on loan this season, which might be a bit of a shame as they might be able to learn by training with the great squad that we have at the moment, but actual football time is important.
I've asked Doughty what he expects this season, so I will add to this thread if I get a reply.

SWP had a normal game. Crossing was shit, passing was shit and yet he scored an awesome goal - go figure?? I would have thought Diakite was MOM.

The Squad list has been partly updated on the offish. Max Ehmer is the only youngster in the list. Maybe Hughes plans to use him?
