Park Ji-sung moving to London? We have written about Park Ji-sung before and have always regarded him as one of the key players in the Manchester United team. He is often the player Sir Alex Ferguson turns to and Park has been dubbed "three lungs Park" due to his awesomeness on the field. So it was shocking news when it was recently revealed that Park might be moving to West London based Queen Park Rangers. The football journalist scene has been going crazy with new articles every hour about this possible move. We're not all that familiar with football (although we do know the off-side rule) but currently we don't think this is 100% officially confirmed. But things are expected to be set in stone this upcoming week and there doesn't seem to be anything denying this shocking move. It is expected that South Korea wonder boy Park Ji-sung, after 7 years at Old Trafford will be moving to London and joining QPR after being swayed by their manager's ambitious plans for the team. Both teams have been teasing fans and saying that there will be big announcements soon so it's only a matter of time for all to be revealed. But before all you fangirls and fanboys get excited about Park Ji-sung's possible move to our capital city, in a recent interview published on Goal.com Park has revealed that he doesn't like to be famous. As you can imagine, Park is a national Hero in South Korea, possibly bigger than any idol band and known by South Koreans of all ages. But Park states that he likes life in England because "I'm not as famous as in South Korea" as when he returns to South Korea he says: "I can’t do everything I want, but here I can walk everywhere and do anything. I like that". And also that it requires him to be quite mentally strong as it is hard to deal with this superstar treatment and although he was uncomfortable with it as first, he is slowly getting used to it. We hope that if he does move to London, he will enjoy our vibrant city! In our earlier posts, we have mentioned that Park will not be participating in the Olympic matches due to his retirement from international football. But if you are a football fan, don't miss out on the chance to see some pre-Olympic football action with the Korea Republic vs Senegal Warm-Up Match. This will take place at Lamex Stadium, home of Stevenage FC. Tickets are only £7.50 or £2.50 for kids, an absolute bargain and will be taking place on Friday 20 July 2012. For more information check out the London Korean Times' website. Sources: Metro Goal.com So will Ki be playing at Stevenage Fc on 20th July then ? Andrew check him out ?

(Reuters) - Queens Park Rangers have agreed to sign South Korean midfielder Park Ji-sung from Manchester United, British media reported on Saturday.
QPR owner Tony Fernandes would not confirm the signing but told Reuters at the British Formula One Grand Prix that the club would be making an announcement on Monday at 1400GMT.
"Lots is happening in the club. We've signed five players, we've got a few more to announce," said the Malaysian aviation entrepreneur.
Reports said the agreement, which could potentially be worth 5.0 million pounds, will cost QPR an initial transfer fee of 2.0 million for the 31-year-old who, a year ago, signed a two-year deal to stay at United until the end of the 2012-13 season.
Park, who has made over 200 appearances for United since joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2005, has a reputation as a big game player able to relentlessly break up opposition attacks and send his own team mates on the offensive.
He was the first Asian to compete in a Champions League final in 2009, and won four Premier League titles at United. The former captain of his country, he made 100 appearances for South Korea between 2000 and 2011.
South Korea is also an important growth area for Fernandes' AirAsia airline.
Park would be the second United player to move to QPR this week following young defender Fabio Da Silva who has joined on a season long loan deal.
MORE SIGNINGS
Fabio, who can play at fullback or in midfield, has played 53 times for United, but has rarely been a first-choice starter.
He should get plenty of opportunities as QPR bid to establish themselves in the Premier League after staying up on the last day of the season following their promotion in 2011.
Fernandes said the club would probably sign three or four more players on top of those already announced before the start of the Premier League season.
"What (manager) Mark (Hughes) would like to do is have two people in each position," he said. "Now whether we get to that situation..."
QPR are also planning a new 40-45,000 seater stadium in West London and have hired architects Populous, who designed the new London Olympic Stadium and Silverstone's Wing pit and paddock complex.
That would be more than double the capacity of QPR's current Loftus Road home. Fernandes said those plans were looking good and a preferred site had been identified in the White City area.
"We could have sold 20,000 season tickets easily and I think with the investment in the squad and some of the ambitions that we have, and the catchment area that we are in, I don't envisage that it will be difficult to fill up," he added.
He said Populous would also be helping him with his new Caterham Formula One team headquarters at Leafield in central England as well as the development of QPR's new training ground in Ealing, west London.
"I'd like to try and make a Formula One, Caterham Cars, QPR kind of concept with maybe a hotel in the middle, kind of health and leisure," he added.

Not clear I understand why Manchester United are selling him (Virtually Giving him away) Kagawa. Plus he had a relatively poor season last season. MUFC fans blame him more than anyone else for their 1-0 loss to Man City. Only a year left on his contract and Utd were not offering him a new one so made sense to get something for him.

Fernandes explains decision to give Park a two-year deal
19/07/2012 by West London Sport QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has explained the decision not to sign Park Ji-sung on a longer-term contract.
The South Korean, who recently arrived from Manchester United, agreed a two-year deal at Loftus Road, but Fernandes believes Park will be at the club beyond 2014.
He said: “It was something we discussed. It’s a big step for Ji to move from such a big club, so let’s all get comfortable with each other.
“We’re confident that with our ambitions for the future he will enjoy it here and be with us for longer.”
