QPR agree deal to sign Man Utd midfielder Park Ji-sung www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18750029Queens Park Rangers have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Park Ji-sung from Manchester United. The transfer fee is understood to be in the region of ÂŁ5m as the 31-year-old had another year left on his contract, which he extended last summer. The South Korea international has made 133 Premier League appearances for United since joining the club from PSV Eindhoven in 2005, scoring 19 goals. He won four Premier League titles and the Champions League while at United. After beginning his professional career with Japanese side Kyoto Purple Sanga, Park impressed during his nation's run to the World Cup semi-finals in 2002, when they were co-hosts. Such performances saw him follow national team coach Guus Hiddink to PSV Eindhoven, where he played for three years before making a ÂŁ4m move to Old Trafford, becoming a reliable wide option for boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

It's two million, and it is wjat it is... A good aging average player. So, if we're aspiribg to become a good average PL side - that's a match. I hope Ji Sung has an ambition to prove that his sharpness hasn't faded away completely.
From the personality point of view - a great addition.

Park runs all the time. His sharpness is still okay. We'll see what a great addition he is.

In Park and Fabio, we've either got two game changers, or two more SWPs. I reckon Park will do alright. Quite the F***ing team we're building ha.

And Park is working so hard defensively that it can balance with an attacking minded full-back like Fabio. The two will be a great partnership on the left i reckon.

Beyonds skill and work-rate, sounds like good attitude as well. That's good. And good role Model: Captain? (How's his English)

I think his english must be okay, as he was in England for the last 5 years or so. But i thought he was a shy and quiet guy so he'll lead by example, but I'm not sure he's a true leader. I may be wrong though.

Glad to have you back Maude Thought this article was rather interesting found it in a Korean newspaper back in March this year, Park Ji-sung Still Most Marketable Korean Football Player Among Korean footballers who are currently playing in Europe, Manchester United's Park Ji-sung, who has enjoyed several years at the top of England's Premier League with the club, still has the highest market value of 9.5 million euros (W14.2 billion), according to data released on Wednesday by Transfermarkt, a German football portal that focuses on news in the European transfer market. Park's market value, calculated at 11.5 million euros in June 2010 ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, has declined in the last two years as the 31-year-old approaches retirement age. From left, Park Ji-sung, Lee Chung-yong, and Park Chu-young Lee Chung-yong (23, Bolton Wanderers) placed second with 7.5 million euros and Park Chu-young (27, Arsenal) was third with 6 million euros. Ji Dong-won (21, AFC Sunderland) had the least market value of 1.5 million euros among Korean football players in England’s top flight. Son Heung-min (20), who plays for Hamburg in Germany's Bundesliga, was calculated to be worth 4.5 million euros. He was followed by Koo Ja-cheol (23), who joined Augsburg from VfL Wolfsburg on loan, with 2.5 million euros, and Jung Jo-gook (28), who plays for AS Nancy in the French league, with 1 million euros.
