Carroll or Welbeck ? For the love of god, BOTH !! Young wide left and Oxlade-Chamberpot wide right Attack, Attack, Attack Attack Attack !! Never happen, Gerrard and Parker would get mullered anyway but it's going to be attrition methinks. Love us to attack, attack, attack but Woy is too cautious in my opinion.

Whilst I totally agree with you CPR that Woy just wont do it, I dont subscribe with the fashionable view that 4-4-2 with 2 attack minded players wide cant work anymore.
Scared of losing with paying too much respect and setting up with the opposition in mind instead of concentrating on your own strengths is killing the present day game.
If you are confident enough with your Keeper and back 4 (admittedly Terry's lack of pace worries me sh**less) then playing the RIGHT 2 more defensive midfielders and reminding the wide players of their defensive duties to the Team, means it can work. With regard to Euro 2012, Gerrard would have to sit (square peg in round hole) & Parker is reliable but too slow and maybe we just dont have the players good enough to "go for it" now. But in Wilshire and Jones (would play him there now anyway) we do, in trying to qualify for 2014 !
It is a "We're gonna Score more goals than you" mentality to bring the pride back ?
Ps. I hope WE do the same next season with Faurlin & Diakite, Mackie and Adel out wide and both Cisse & Zamora up top !

Supposed team. Joe Hart, Glen Johnson, John Terry, Joleon Lescott, Ashley Cole, James Milner, Steven Gerrard, Scott Parker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ashley Young, Danny Welbeck. Not too bad, at least Chamberlain starts, if true. Guess we won't be outside watching but the flags up anyway! ;D Attachments:

Would play 2 holding midfielders (Wilshire & Jones) I can find little to disagree with there Mr Frank. Fear seems to rule these days though.

Glad that Chamberlain is starting. If France start with Benzema and Giroud then we will lose.
