A nickname. Despite the lack of hills out in the dengie marshes my more sophisticated friends refer to us as hillbillies, unless you're from tillingham, when you are a tillbilly. May change it at a later date to something in honour of Jude the Cat. Catabilly.

'ere Mac, your comment re people using different names to post on the orig.dot - you're not aware that we knew who those identities were by a few simple clicks? It was all part of the madness of the most exciting vibrant and original medium that I ever encountered, an iconic example of football related nonsense at the start of the MB's, never equaled, will never be replicated. And yes, I was many of those names. Only read this recently.... Dot.org was the only board I really used in those days. (I think I started posting around 1996 or 1997...) I remember "Chappers" doing all sorts of things on the Dot.org including posting as various posters (As I recall, In those days you had to sign in as your "real" self, but could change the name as you posted... Eventually Battletank changed the way you could log on to counter it. Just as for some, The Official SIte Board or the predecessor to LFW/RIvals was their main board , for me it was dot.org. And Dot.org besides having "Tommy Nintendo" and this guy "Matt Doran" and a host of others... Of course, Chappers showed some wit (even if annoying to some - such as me.) And of course I fought with some! (Quite a few actually) (But still a vivid contrast to the not-interested-in-debating QPR matter, moronic, hate-filled poster or two, that we've all seen)

No hidden meaning, when you give so much to help a site then get banned from a bloke who isn't even a QPR fan I find that hard to take. Anyway I enjoy this site and I can tell you for a fact I only miss 2 posters from WRTRB's who didn't follow the herd of sheep. This seems like it allows varied views which is a very good thing. I miss you too mate; good to see that you're not bitter

That was rain. I think the picture was taken in October a few years back; the 'real' snow doesn't normally get here until Novemberish

Much preferred reading posts from the likes of Battletank, Dave Thomas, Zeus and Santadog amongst others.

Mine is a tribute to Nomar Garciapara, former Boston Red Sox shortstop. I'm a big Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan as well as QPR. NO-mah! I can't put on a pair of gloves without thinking of Nomar at bat! My sister, who lives in New York, husband is a Yankee fan and their daughter is a massive Red Sox fan because of me! ;D At 5 years old she's already been to Fenway Park several times!

I'm a huge red sox fan, since 97, when I fell in love with Pedro Martinez, the best pitcher I have ever seen, guy had two change ups, a circle K and another one. Don't get me started on Pedro Martinez.

I say red sox you say nomar! RedSox! Nomar!
Manny Ramirez, and Big Papi , the best post season hitters, I saw every minute of that ALCS when Boston overcame a 3-0 deficit to win. The greatest choke job in sport.

I think I can actually do his glove ritual move for move!!! Went to Yankee Stadium to see Sox v Yanks must have been about 8 yrs ago now? Sox lost but was a good game. Lowe was pitching for us I think. Waterbuffalo, I'm a Patriots fan. You have a good team this season though, could be a 3 way AFC East race if the Jets can start putting some wins on the board. And Petey was my favourite pitcher too! So glad he won a ring with us. I will never forget that feeling after the 19-8 game 3 of the ALCS. Thats really was rock bottom as a Sox fan. I remember Kevin Millar saying 'don't let us win tonight' before game 4. Then it just all happened and 'the idiots' just got on a roll. By game 7 you just knew somehow that we were going to win. Dave Roberts steal of 2nd on Rivera has to be the greatest play in Sox history. Man, I'm getting goosebumps just writing this......

Onenil because for my first game, i didnt speak english at all, and as i arrived shortly after halftime, i missed the whole first half. We scored early in the second half and the first QPR song i unterstood was "One-nil to the superhoops".

I worked with a Fijian guy in the early 70's, his command of English was not perfect and on a Friday he would often ask me 'are you going to Queen's Range Parkers tomorrow?', he gave up trying after a while and used the initials but used to get that wrong too; he'd call us (phonetically) 'Quee Pu Ars'. I just used to reply in the affirmative.

For me, easy. It's my favourite old Formula 1 car. Google it. I may even be producing a documentary on it for Sky TV for next year (fingers crossed they'll actually pay me!).
