Ive worked overseas on oil rigs for about 20 years and picked up Mayday as a nick name. I tell people it's because when things go wrong it's me they call to sort it out.
In truth it's due to my ability to get myself into some right pickles.

i could write a book on my username, (i'll wait untill gramps has brought his out) maude (lovely lady) and her husband run a fish and chip shop on latimer rd w10, in the middle to late seventies i was given my pocket money and spent it on watching QPR. after every home game, on my way back home, my family got me to 'pop' into maudes on the way home from the game, i had to buy fish n chips for my aunts, uncles, nan, mum, brothers and sisters, and cousins. which in numbers was about 20. not only did i buy for 20 of my family, but next door to maudes was a pub called the volunteer, which my dad was in at the time, and all his mates, so that was another 10 or so fish n chips. maudes husband used to moan every time i walked through the chip shop door,(he moaned out of habit) but always gave me a bag of crackling and scraps because i got him a programme, which he payed for. maude always said to me on the quite, that QPR ,and my orders, was the only thing that made him happy. food of the gods, and part of my QPR upbringing

Maude you didn't disappoint. When I started this thread I was curious of everyone's user names. But it was your name that got me started. I was going to ask you that question on another thread. But thought I'd open it to everyone. I did figure out that it might have been a chip shop you use or used. But nice to know the history behind it. Good one.

Born in Shepherds Bush and still have a place there. Just off thread for a Minot..Is St. Mary Abbotts still in Marloes Road? It was a workhouse, a bughouse, a hospital and a geriatric home. You'll have to work out what it was when I was born there.

You'll have to work out what it was when I was born there. Most of the buildings were demolished in 1992 Ron. The site is now luxury housing.

Gramps, you've a long way to go. 18 grandchildren and 2 geats and I'm 50! Ah, step geats! Mine are all 'of the blood' as a result of my unstinting hard work in the boudoir all those years ago. These women go on about nine months of child-bearing but they don't consider the hard work we guys have to do to make said children possible!

Mine refers to 13,000 posts on WRTRB's, then getting banned for all those years of good service.
Not a w12ranger moan as I only have a wk left to my ban but I prefer the posters on this site so you won't see me crying like w12ranger as I'm here for good.

No hidden meaning, when you give so much to help a site then get banned from a bloke who isn't even a QPR fan I find that hard to take. Anyway I enjoy this site and I can tell you for a fact I only miss 2 posters from WRTRB's who didn't follow the herd of sheep. This seems like it allows varied views which is a very good thing.

Anyone (besides CPR) used to have another user name? (Or posts currently on another board, using another name or names) I know there are those posts on boards using more than one name (sometimes at the same time!)
After Macmoish, I used to post as "1967" and then as "QPR Report"...Then to avoid any confusion between the name of this board and my individual posts, I a couple years ago switched back to my original Macmoish on this board. And still post as QPR Report (on the rare occasion I do post elsewhere). But apart from this Macmoish-QPR Report (and everyone - or at least anyone who cares - knows same poster). I've never posted using different names at the same time. Or posted pretending not to be Macmoish/QPR Report)
