American football is having a large increase in hooliganism abusive behaviour and language and drunkenness. this was reported on Yahoo sports, look up last Sat. or friday 19 dec. on NflL security issues on the Yahoo file. security now has a text number for all the teams except one where you can text information and then it is assessed by security and you have confidentiality. would that be something that could be used over here for the very same problems?

Its a very different problem in American football. In English footie, holliganism is about mobs fighting over tribal identity, so to speak. The problems in American football stem from extreme macho-ism meets too much alcohol.

Good point especially about tribal identity. There are though apparent large increases in behaviour problems at the game that are approaching or exceding what happens in footie. The kind of unruliness that makes it impossible to enjoy the game and the effect on children.

Tickets to US football matches are so expensive that not many people are taking kids these days. OK, that is a slight exaggeration, but the prices are crazy.
In Washington DC, the Redskins play in a stadium that fits about 80,000. Every single one of those seats is a season ticket. If you want to buy a season ticket you have to put your name on a waiting list and will probably have to wait 3-4 years before one comes available. Individual tickets are nearly impossible to come by, but when they are available you are likely to pay at least $100 per ticket (plus another $20 for parking, etc..) and that isn;t for a vry good ticket either.

Well again you are much closer to this. The point most importan to me is the use of texting to a central security number for english footie?
