As I noted on my blog, I see that Rushden and Diamonds (who just signed Justin Cochrane) last week axed Leon Knight. What a case of a person's attitude or personality impacting on his clear talents.

- Striker, Leon Knight has this week been sacked by Rushden & Diamonds FC following continuous breaches of the Club's code of conduct.
Chairman Keith Cousins confirmed "His contract has been terminated without prejudice to our right for a fee. He has been informed of that in writing this week with the approval of the FA, PFA and Football Conference."
Although Knights' contract has been terminated, he cannot move to another Club without an agreement being made with Rushden & Diamonds F.C. until such time as the term of his contract has expired.
Knight played 13 times for the Diamonds scoring 4 times, where the former Chelsea trainee has also played for Milton Keynes Dons, Huddersfield, Brighton, Swansea and Wycombe.
Since being placed on the transfer list in October 2008, Knight has not been involved with the squad at all.
