Vital Football QPR have a Q&A with Ben Kosky about QPR matters. I'm not sure all his opinions are going to be embraced! On Sousa appointment "I can`t remember being so underwhelmed by a QPR appointment since Alan Mullery" See Full Q&A at: www.qpr.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=135277

The last sentence.
"history shows that very few teams win promotion after changing manager mid-season."
As far as I recall, the man he admires most here, Dowie, got his only success at Palace doing precisely that. Also, Keane did the same with Sunderland, did he not?
Underwhelmed by Sousa and comparison with Mullery, very strange indeed! Amazing what a closetted group they are in football eh!
I always find the observation "he's never managed in England" or "never managed in this division" very strange. It only ever seems to apply to foreign managers. For example, why give Paul Ince his job? Not that he's goinng to keep it much longer but see my point?

It looks like Ben Kosky had a friendship or good working relationship with Dowie because for myself and most fans Dowie was the most underwhelming managerial appointment in my lifetime. His style of football confirmed all our worst fears and his early sacking may has kept our promotion hopes alive.
As for never managed in England??? Maybe he should look at Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chel$8!7
