SUSPENDED -CLUB STATEMENT - December 9, 2009
The Club can confirm that Manager Jim Magilton has been suspended with immediate effect, pending an internal investigation.
The suspension relates to an incident which occurred at Monday's Championship fixture against Watford at Vicarage Road.
The Club will be making no further comment at this stage.

DEPARTURE - CLUB STATEMENT

The Club can confirm that Jim Magilton and John Gorman have left Queens Park Rangers by mutual consent.
Recent events have been widely reported and whilst Jim Magilton completely denies the allegations, with the full support of John Gorman, it has been agreed that it is in the best interests of the Club and Jim Magilton, if the parties move on in their separate ways.
The Club would like to wish both Jim Magilton and John Gorman good luck in the future and thank them for their hard work.

- The Club is pleased to confirm the arrival of Paul Hart as First Team Manager.
Following discussions late last night after Jim Magilton's and John Gorman's departures, the appointment was concluded this morning.
Hart will be joined at the Club by new Assistant Manager Mick Harford in a deal which runs until the end of the 2009/10 season.
The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Steve Gallen and Marc Bircham for their efforts while in Caretaker charge.
The Club will be making no further comment at this stage

PAUL Hart and Mick Harford will be offered the QPR managership until the end of the season only.

But if the pair works out, a three-year deal will be carrot-like dangled in front of Rangers 10th management set-up in just over three years.

Last night, club lawyers were thrashing out the exact details of Jim Magilton’s sacking, with the legal eagles making sure they had player statements ready to back up allegations the outgoing boss had in indeed assaulted Akos Buzsaky.

The bust-up that ended with the Hungarian winger wandering in front of the stand at Watford 12 days ago after the 3-1 defeat will allow Hoops to dismiss the 40-year-old Northern Irishman for gross misconduct, and send him on his way without a penny.

Hart’s return to a dug-out comes less than a month after he was sacked by Portsmouth, although Harford had a five-game spell in charge at Loftus Road in between the departure of John Gregory and the arrival of Luigi Di Canio two years ago.

The former Luton manager left the Hatters in October, but as popular as Harford was last time – both new bosses are set to arrive after Alan Curbishley and Steve Coppell turned down QPR overtures.

Curbishley is still awaiting the final payment as part of a settlement from West Ham, and Coppell has decided to take a break from football for the rest of the season.

QPR are quietly hoping a club will make a decent offer for Buzsaky in the January transfer window as well.

There are some at the club, who felt the player should have kept the changing room row in-house – and his removal from the squad on Monday for the 2-2 draw at West Brom came before he pulled up with slight medial ligament damage.

Kaspars Gorkss scored his second goal for Rangers when he nodded the second against WBA – but admits he still doesn’t see himself as a shoo-in for the team against Sheffield United on Saturday - whoever picks it.

Caretakers Steve Gallen and Marc Bircham paired him with Damon Stewart for the eighth different back four in a row at The Hawthorns. And despite his hand in both goals, the Latvian only underlined the uncertainty around W12 this week.

He said: "We have a bunch of decent players here so we should be able to play well regardless of who plays."
