Upload the photo to an image hosting site (photobucket or similar) then use the direct link on your post.
If it's from a website you can click the image insert the url, highlight and click the button of a picture above the smilies.

Blimey didn't know that one either.
I use the square brackets, img manually. (img)picturelink(/img) replace the () with square brackets [], sounds like hard work now.
