A single line from Teamtalk citing The Mirror "Terry Venables has been told there is no job for him at QPR. " Haven't seen the Mirroronline yet, but I presume it's just a hyped snippet; that they're takings Dowie saying he's fighting/or players saying they back Dowie rather than anything more than that. We could debate whether Venables or Sexton or Stock ...But certainly Venables was great; him leaving ranks as one of the most devestating days for me in QPR history but Venables was a quarter a century ago as a 40 year old. So it's not what he was. It's whether TODAY he would be a big success at a QPR where Briatore is and we're in the championship. Whether he'd have the hunger to focus 100% on QPR...etc. That's much more questionable/debatable

I'd say this: If we were to reach the playoff final and suddenly were without a manager. And for that one game, we could pick any manager, I'd pick Venables, even today.
