- BBC -Match-fixing inquiry closed by FA The Football Association has closed its inquiry into allegations of match fixing at a Championship tie between Derby County and Norwich City.
The allegations related to unusual online-betting patterns in Asia during the course of the 4 October game.
The FA said on Friday that there was no evidence to suggest any irregularities around the progress or result of the game, which Derby won 2-1.
Both clubs had vehemently denied the allegations from the outset.
Derby County spokesman Matt McCann said: "Both clubs said from the start that they were totally innocent of any wrongdoing.
"If anything they are extremely irritated that this was whipped into an unnecessary storm and it has been unfortunate for both clubs and the players involved in the game."
