A twist on an old theme, I know. But hey, this is a QPR messageboard and if you can't chat about the QPR greats here, then where can you.
Now I didn't ask, who was QPR's best player. The answer to that is clearly Stan Bowles. Likewise, if I'd asked, who was QPR's most talented player, the answer would be the same.
But the question is who is QPR's greatest player. In my opinion, the greatest player ever to wear the sacred hoops has to be Gerry Francis. After all, Gerry captained the team when we got to our highest position in our history, but he also captained the national side. No QPR player has ever risen to that level of success, either before or after.

"Greatest" is such a nebulous term.....greatest at what? most skillful, most committed, most successful....my favourite players were someone like Stainrod, Clive Allen, Ferdinand or Bowles.....Bowles was probably as creative as anyone, Clive A was the most ruthlessly efficient QPR player ever, Macca as probably as committed as anyone....my subjectivity is better than your subjectivity.

Your objectivity leaves something to be desired though. I think!
