One of the bigest problems we have had this year is that two consecutive matches provide two different teams and so on. I believe this is the main reason why we dont score goals. The familiarity positioning the first and second touches the skill ofthe game is in that integrity and knowledge of where a player is or should be. Set pieces midfielders moving deftlyand knowing in what direction others will be and good communication with strikers. My feeling is that we should play the same team except for injuries and then designated subs. Also learning how to clean tackle and foul less. That type of team gains promotion
I am amazed that we have done as well as we have with this constant change of players. It speaks to the potential of a solid team if they could all mature together.
Parejo I believe is not a major issue in the teams problems. I am sure he is reacting to these same issues which really cannot be adjusted to. Bringing in new players, sending players out on loan creates destablization in a team that has been unable to stabilize.
I am hoping that the second half will bring more of a tight rhythmic team under Sousa.Briatore wants a winner and lets hope he starts to do the same things he did in his other businesses and rely on expert help. Then we could make the playoffs. If not we finish midtable.

Londonranger I'm amazed that you continue to make excuses for Parejo. He has been playing rubbish for a long time now, and his body language says he dosn't care. But lets give him the benefit of 100 reasons why he is isn't living up to all of his hype. Just answer one question only. What excuse can you make for a 19/20 year old professional sportsman who hasn't been injured, who ambles around the field and cannot last 45 minutes of the game without disappearing from the action knackered. His level of fitness is taking the piss out of the supporters. Any other player on the books woud be dropped immediately. Ben Kosky is spot on -" Patronage, not footballing merit

But I think we can all agree that IF (hypothetically of course) Parejo were not playing well and was harming the team, Sousa should have the absolute freedom to drop him. The concept that he should be played because of any external factors should be rejected.

It is a dilemma. Grumpyolde I cant answer your question. He may be ill he may have substance abuse problems., the internal political dynamic we can only guess about. why does sousa play him? Told to maybe? I would say play or dont play but dont go in and out with him. There is a complexity here that defines reason. Now I will say this: Why does Blackstock have one good game one bad game. Why does Rowlands play with his eyes down why does Mahon look good and indeifferent. why does rowlands suddenly look overmatched. Why does Cerny play brilliant but at the death drop the ball. To me the team has looked like it is easy for the taking with or without Parejo.

for me the answer is very simple. If you don't do it on the field you are not in the team. This is supposed to be a professional football team playing in the Coca Cola Championship. The games are tough enough as it is without giving your opponents a start. Should be the best combination of players in the squad every time.Over hyped reputations will win you zero!
