I thought Chris Wright always did his best for the club but unfortunately not being a predominately football man was let down very badly by the people that advised him. If he hadn't taken over the club, who would have done? He didn't want to take over but there were no other buyers. As I understand it he lost a great deal of his own personal money doing it.

I agree Mel, in hindsight it is easy to find fault with him but he put a lot of money into Rangers, maybe even more than the current owners and only did what he thought best for the club. I'm not convinced he was any worse than the people that followed.

I think it's not so much that he screwed up. I can forgive him that. It was for the best of intentions, etc. It's how he left; how much money he actually lost - after the training ground was given to him and the Wasps, etc.
