Peterborough United great Terry Bly passed away on Thursday at the age of 73.

Bly scored a club and Fourth Division record 52 goals as Posh won the Fourth Division title in their first Football League season of 1960-61.

Bly scored 81 times during his 88 appearances for Posh and went on to play for Coventry City and Notts County

Posh Legend Passes Away

On Thursday evening the football club were informed of the very sad news of the passing of former Posh Hall of Fame Legend Terry Bly.

Terry, of course, will be particularly remembered for his remarkable record of scoring 52 league goals during our first season in the Football League 1960-1961. This record surely will never to be beaten.

A great player and a wonderful, very modest man who will be sadly missed by all, we offer our sincere condolences to Terry's family.
