Birthdays Today: Mauro Milanese...Mike Fillery...Danny Cullip...Coach Billy Bonds
Danny Cullip: Turns 44- Born September 17, 1976 - Signed on a free from Nottingham Forest. (In his first season, he helped "saved the club")
Mauro Milanese Turns 49- Born September 17, 1971 -
Mike Fillery - Turns 60 - Born September 17, 1960
Signed by Terry Venables from Chelsea in August 1983 (after QPR failed to sign Glen Hoddle and Ray Wilkins), Fillery stayed for 4 years before joining Portsmouth on a free in July 1987.
Also (briefly) former Coach, and West Ham Midfielder, Billy Bonds, Turns 74. Was coach under Ray Wilkins. When Wilkins departed, Bonds resigned.

Bump a year...
As I recall, Venables bought Mike Fillery after QPR were trying to sign Glen Hoddle for 700,000 from Spurs (At the time he was unsettled).
And were also linked to Ray Wilkins who just before wasn't getting into the Man Ut team much.
And we had a yound David Kerslake on the fringes of getting into the team

Bump another year  BBC Thursday, 4 August 2005 Milanese makes Loftus Road switch Queens Park Rangers have signed experienced Italian left-back Mauro Milanese on a free transfer. The 33-year-old, who has played for Inter Milan, Parma, Perugia, Napoli and Torino, has agreed a one-year contract at Loftus Road. Milanese has been brought to the club by major shareholder Gianni Paladini and is Rangers' seventh summer signing. "We've been short in that position and Gianni has been working hard to get me someone," said manager Ian Holloway.

Don't care what anyone else says, unless they agree, Milanese was far too good a footballer for our team at that time.
