(Again the story)MirrorDerby striker snubs Middlesbrough for second time 22:34 08/09/09 By James Nursey Derby striker Rob Hulse has turned down Middlesbrough for the second time in a week. Boro boss Gareth Southgate desperately wanted Rams ace Hulse, 29, to boost his attack following the sale of Tuncay and Stewart Downing. He originally tried to sign Hulse on transfer deadline day last Tuesday with a big-money £4million bid which tempted cash-strapped Derby. And Southgate returned yesterday with an offer to take Hulse on loan before completing a permanent move in January. But Hulse, who scored 18 goals last term after signing from Sheffield United in July 2008 for £1.75m, has once again declined Boro’s advances. And Southgate is now turning his attention to other targets, including QPR marksman Heidar Helguson.www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Derby-striker-snubs-Middlesbrough-for-second-time-article149049.html
