Keith Gillespie from Sheffield United Remember him under Keegan at Newcastle...
Charlton Official Site One of Phil Parkinson's first acts as Charlton caretaker manager was to sign Sheffield United winger Keith Gillespie on loan on Monday afternoon.
Northern Ireland international Gillespie has joined the Adthingys until January 3rd, and could go straight into Parkinson's line-up for Tuesday night's clash against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road (3pm).
The third round of the FA Cup takes place on January 3rd, but discussions as to whether 33-year-old Gillespie will play in the game will take place with the Blades nearer to the time.
Gillespie, who can be recalled by the Blades after 28 days, did not feature as Charlton lost 5-2 at home to United on Saturday, but could play when the Adthingys made the return trip to Bramall Lane on Saturday, December 28th.
