I'd have been more impressed if it had NOT been shown on World - and if the report had just leaked out. (And also if Briatore had not been there). And if you want a tough guy: Gregory, Harford and Dowie (not to mention Rioch): We've had the tough guys. He may be the greatest coach since Terry Venables. But time will tell. We do know that some of the greatest coaches often - usually - do not convert into great managers. We do know that some of the greatest coaches often - usually - do not convert into great managers We do know he's not familiar with English football And his assistant: who knows? Thus far we know absolutely nothing apart from his age. He's certainly not a link to the travails of English football. And even if the Briatore involvement in the team and players is removed - which remains to be seen - do we still have Briatore and Paladini bringing us the same kind of players that we've seen since the summer? Still after all this, I'm optimistic. After all what can go wrong?
