FURLONG AND ADOMAH SEE OFF CHARLTON

There was good news and some not quite so good news at Underhill today when Barnet convincingly beat Charlton Athletic 2-0 in a pre-season friendly playing some fine attacking football.
Manager Ian Hendon said: "You can say what you like about the strength of the opposition but I was delighted with the performance ... more with the clean sheet than anything else".
The good news? Jake Cole did not concede and 40-year-old Paul Furlong scored a trademark individual goal and delighted the Bees' fans in the 800 crowd with another masterclass performance.
Hendon then reported: "I am confident that he will tell me at the end of next week that he is staying at Underhill ... he's not going anywhere else".
The manager praised 19-year-old "young pretender" Jake Hyde, who showed ball-shielding skills and promise alongside the master goalscorer.
The sight of last season's top scorer John O'Flynn on crutches was a downside to the afternoon. The message from the treatment room was that the Irishman's foot injury was taking time to heal and he needed to rest before an assessment on Tuesday.
The forecast had been that O'Flynn would be training next week. The foot had looked as if it was getting better; suddenly it got worse.
Hendon told BBC London's Barry Swain: "He could be struggling now for the start of the season".
Albert Adomah scored Barnet's second goal, set up after a dazzling run by former Gillingham winger Albert Jarrett.
Micah Hyde's class stood out on his home debut. The 34-year-old Jamaican international midfielder came to Underhill after a chance meeting with first team coach Lee Harrison in the close season at a careers course where he was considering his future. "Give Ian Hendon a ring", said Lee. Micah's signing is more good news for the Bees.
Hendon rang the changes in the second half and brought on seven substitutes, including trialists Jarrett, Clovis Kamdjo (Reading) and Ahmed Dean (Macclesfield Town).
"The trialists show they want to be a part of Barnet FC", said Hendon. "I'd like to take one or two of them ... I've got to make decisions soon".
There's no room for complacency as the Bees head towards their League 2 start away to Lincoln City in a fortnight.
"I've no idea of my starting X1 yet - it is still open", said the manager.
He was asked if he was confident about the new season. "I am not going to make silly predictions", he replied. "You can say that I have liked what I have seen so far and am looking forward to it".
So are we Ian.
Barnet: - Cole; Gillett (Dean), Hughes (Tabiri), Yakubu, Breen (Kamdjo),Leach; Adomah (Hart), Micah Hyde (Deverdics), Hughes (Tabiri), Bolasie (Jarrett); Furlong, Jake Hyde (Charles).
