im a yank living in Fla. qpr since 1978. my sis lived in Pompey and while I was over for a visit, her girlfriend who was from Acton took me to a friendly vs Brighton Hove Albion. Will never forget the Albion supporters singing that Stanley Bowles is a W*nker! He gave them a middle finger salute! Been QPR for life ever since. Was in London in 2001 but it was over the new year and no matches were scheduled. Think this will be a good way to stay in touch.

In the first round Rangers were drawn at home to non-league Poole Town. Rangers opened the scoring through Marsh after 41 minutes. A nasty head injury caused Mike Kelly, who was making has debut in goal, to miss the second half. He was replaced in goal for the second half by veteran Jim Langley. The loss of the keeper gave the Southern League side some hope. With both sides scoring twice the match ended in Rangers favour by 3 goals to 2, with Marsh completing his hat-trick.
