Wishing him all the best, starting with victory at Watford.
Now since this is a messageboard, where views are meant to be discussed: Just off the cuff:
Optimistic: Brilliant player; Recommended by Scolari; the coach of the brilliant Portugese team; Briatore will have learned his lesson; will fit within the new QPR system; and knows what to expect; no illusions about his own role, etc. He's Portugese! Mourinho is Portugese. QED
On the Pessimistic side: All those brilliant-seeming - or at least competent seeming #2s and coaches and Assistant Managers who have completely failed when they have been the ones in charge. From Brian Kidd and Graham Rix and of course Stuart Houston... Brilliant players frequently don't become good managers; doesn't know England or the Championship; hasn't dealt with club management/coaching before; just international...
Briatore will still be involved. And Briatore believes he knows what he's doing in the world of football.
The way Dowie was treated and the way Ainsworth was treated should make one be a little sceptical. And certainly board calls for fan patience are I believe misdirected. Because the #1 place for patience is in the QPR Boardroom.

I'm very optimistic about Sousa. Brilliant appointment by Flav, I just hope he lets the man get on with the job.

“I have always wanted to work for a big club and I am very excited."
Well if he wanted to work at a big club he has come to the wrong place.
