John McCelland goal scoring right winger for the R's during the 1961-1963 era sadly passed away this summer but for some reason I do not think the Club or the various QPR social media outlets picked up on it. Did it slip under the Radar I wonder? Correct me if I am Wrong. Anyway there is now a belated tribute article posted up on The Independent R's Website for any persons interested. Go to www.indyrs.co.ukIt's on the Homepage section 6th Nov 2024

RIP Thanks Kerrins. I don't remember seeing/or the Club mentioning but I could I guess have missed. Would have made a nice tribute when QPR played Portsmouth a few weeks ago I see Portsmouth did note his passing x.com/Pompey/status/1803050032578339009

Thanks for posting up the Pompey Tribute Mac. It was obviously quite right that Portsmouth FC should pay their respects. He did spend a number of seasons at Fratton Park.
Over at Independent R's we only found out recently by "accident" that he had actually passed away a few months back. I did a trawl on some QPR social media but did not come up with any reference at all. I am convinced that QPR FC made no mention(although it would have been close season) because if so you and Indy R's would have picked up on it.
