I thought we were a lot better last night - especially after such a naive start.
We are so much better when Clarke-Salter plays.
Harrs, I have read your comment calling for Marti's dismissal on the Portsmouth thread.
I think that is misplaced.
If we follow the narrative, we have been given by Nourry at the fans' forum, the coach is almost irrelevant.
We are building a model that runs through the whole club. The idea being that the coach can be replaced with like for like - seamless....
We were told that Belik now had a very big say in who we recruit - exceptionally so.
As CEO, Nourry persuaded the board that we did not need a Director of Football - he could cover all that.
The owners gave the keys over to Christian and gave him a free hand.
Marti can only work with what he has been handed, injuries as well.
Now I am not happy clapping Marti, he too has made mistakes, and probably had a fair say in the recruits.
But if the new model is correct (and it is too early to say) then sacking the manager will not be the answer or likely make any difference.
If the recruits are not good enough, then I guess Belik should fall on his sword. More likely to be Nourry's fall guy.
And at some point, Nourry has to be accountable. If we get to the point that Marti is to be sacked, Nourry extended his contract just 2 weeks ago.
Nourry has far less in the bank that Marti with the fans. His decision to not share information with the fanbase, not helping his cause.
Belik can point to an 18 year old kid who cost us nothing. We can point to a proven international goal scorer who had 12 touches all night and looks Sunday League. 
It could all come good, last night was much better, Chair is nowhere near fit, Dembele's clearance was from the Fox school of defending. We are a Work in Progress. In my view, changing the manager will achieve diddly squat right now, but the message board is all about opinions.

Sacking Marti will achieve nothing, though his “rose colored” post match comments cannot disguise the fact this was a tepid, tedious and toothless performance IMHO. Farcical goals from both sides, our equaliser was an mis hit that any keeper should have saved but of course they all count and great joy for our promising youngster.

It’s clear that our Foreign Legion experiment has backfired badly, most of these players seem out of their depth in English football, let alone the rough and tumble of the Championship. Saito , Nardi and the injured Frey are the only ones that come out with any credit and as for the anonymous Celar, well enough has been said already.

Let’s just hope the magic that Marti worked last season returns soon before desperation sets in.

I largely agree. Nourry has set the club upon a path; whether it will prove the right one or not time will tell, but chopping and changing the plan every year when we lose a few games certainly will not work in the long run. I think the club should commit 100% to that plan and do everything to try to make it work. That includes sticking with Marti as he has presumably bought into the plan (otherwise why would they extend his contract). While it would be great to achieve that plan while staying in the Championship, if it means dropping down to League 1 for a spell, so be it.

A worry now is what will happen to Chair and Clarke-Salter in the January window. Assuming Chair gets back to form by then, they are our two best players and the ones most likely to attract attention from bigger clubs.

Changing manger now will not change anything there has been no real progression since warbs who we all thought would do good things then beale who was the real deal good spells good results but no consistency then that imploded Marti at the end of last season gave us hope for this term new signings some looked good on paper but again no consistency either good but lack of a good striker or bloody awful that's the key I think are lack of goals since charlie faded out last night Celar was given a start a chance to shine didn't even look interested 12 touches according to sky didn't attack the ball or try to when Smyth put in a couple of good crosses I don't think another manager could get nothing more from this bunch Div one is looming

A Draw at home against a poor team is a bad result for us.

I reckon we will not win any of our next three games and you can be pretty damned sure that we will concede goals in each and every one.

Pleased for the boy Morgan though. He looks promising.

Well we did shockingly bad against all the teams that will be down there at the end of the year..
Drew with Sheff Weds and couldn’t beat 9 man Plymouth lost to Derby and a rotten Portsmouth and Hull.
So now we play 2nd , 1st 8th and 3rd.
With 8 points from 33 I can’t see us that much better 8 from 42 , Ainsworths legacy.
So to get out this mess Marti will have to do an absolute repeat of what he did last year.
I’m not convinced he do it two years in a row.
Last year he had to recover from someone else’s doings.
This year it’s his own mess he has to clear up, poor team formations, defending and tactics in there as well as player performances.
To be fair changing the manager probably won’t help but seeing how the team has strolled around the pitch for most of the first 11 games has for sure realised he is not that special.
If the club decided to offload him after 15 games with say 11 points on the board , you could certainly understand why.

Great our only striker out then, still we don’t need to worry with Celar banging them in week in week out .
