We’ll be bottom at Xmas and down by end of Feb and it will be utterly deserved. Wretched football team!

Laughing stock again, full circle. This squad needs to be playing Orient. Thanks for last year Marti but good riddance now.
One win in 10, just wow.

I don’t think sacking Marti makes any difference at this stage. By far the worst team in the Championship, utterly football brain dead players making the same amateurish mistakes every week. Personally want us to go down now cos we are just going to lose every week in this league. I can’t see us winning another game this season, I really genuinely can’t. Also, can’t be bothered to follow the games now, I know what’s going to happen every fkn week.

Footballs a results business. One win in ten not good enough. Fox was shocking but it’s a team game and most of the players just floating around out there. We had two weeks to get ready to play a team that had not won in nine and bottom of the league. No hunger, no desire, gutless performance for the fourth or fifth game. Frey,Dembele,Cook and Nardi I would excuse from that, nobody else. 7 points flatters us we only deserved 5.
For me simple Marti has to go.

So many errors by both sides. But the two clangers by Fox were beyond words. Two team heading for relegation.

Fox and Madsen
So many poor performances today. But these two stand out. Utterly awful performance from both. I cannot understand why Fox wasn’t subbed at HT. He was left for dead for goal-1 and the penalty he conceded just showed how poor he was.
…..and how much did our centre-mid (Madsen) cost us? We’ve been mugged up there.
We have better players not starting when compared to these two.

A frustrating game but I still retain faith in Marti, mainly the credit built up from last season. However, there may come a point where something needs to change/give. Not saying that is now, by all means, but clearly the team does not look as organised as it did last season. I always felt this season would be another one of struggle but hoped we would not be in the relegation zone after 10 games (certainly not bottom!). We looked tired and lacked ideas. Only have x2 number 9s in the squad is also a concern, particularly when Frey's form has dropped off (although he did put a shift in yesterday and was one of the only few who did), and Celar looks completely lost at this level (so far, and needs more time). I think we are overloaded in the wings now Chair is back so could have done with another striker to balance the squad better. But still lots of time to turn this around, starting with Coventry, who are also having a disappointing season so far, as I tipped them to be promoted! Our centre midfield combination needs fixing. Both Field and Madsen have quality but struggle in tight situations, with and without the ball. We need a player in the younger version of Colback, small, dynamic and has the ability to twist and turn more quickly than these do. But that can't be fixed until January. Keep the faith and onwards to 3 points v Coventry! The next time we can keep a clean sheet, then I am confident that gives us 3 points. We need to focus on the back 4 first and get that looking more like last season under Marti. Dunne may now no longer be the answer at RB, despite doing so well for us at the end of last season, and we need JCS back asap as he seems to provide calmness to Cook's dogged defending. I like the new keeper, Nardi, but he is very hyperactive/energetic and therefore the complete opposite to Begovic, which is also maybe unsettling the defence at the moment, until they get used to his style and personality.

But why do you think a new manager is going to make a difference? We’ve been through a raft of them but the players still give the same goal away every week, give opposition players free strikes at our goal, foul players with their back to goal on the touch line and going nowhere and posing zero threat to us. Seriously, at this stage it isn’t the manager, it’s these gormless a holes that clearly do not understand the basic concepts of the game they are playing and earning a living from every week. This won’t change until we finally go down, which genuinely looks like is going to be this season now, after years of circling the drain it’s our tie to disappear down the plug hole.

I was at the game. Usual story. Missed chances. No idea how to defend properly.
We have a shocking defensive unit. Name me one team in the land that would not score at least one goal against us. Go on I dare you!
Portsmouth are a poor team and on the play we still should have beaten them but we lost. Bad news

Go on I dare you! Portsmouth are a poor team and on the play we still should have beaten them but we lost. Bad news Yes, it is our inability to push on, and then how we fall apart when we concede. The chances we had were good ones. Chair should have scored at least one goal. The errors by Fox were shocking, the first was right in front of where we sit. With Clarke-Salter and Morrison injured, I guess we are short on choice, but Fox was so off the pace. But both sides made so many errors all over the park. We also have too many small midfielders / wingers who cannot defend / go missing. Smyth is the better at covering back, but his delivery is dreadful. The combinations in the centre of the park have not worked. Says it all that a youngster (Morgan) coming on Saturday was the highlight there. Varane and Colback can be liabilities. Field passes backwards and Madsen is clearly struggling. Anderson has lost form . However, I do not subscribe to the notion that relegation will help. Eze being sold in January and recruitment of experience may be our only hope...and it is a lean one.
